Dogs greeting their owner, returning after 14 months in Iraq

Such sweet dogs! And so well behaved, mine would have trampled me to death.. =)

If this doesn't make you *happy, nothing will. *Military homecomings are always moving to me. Maybe the *music gave it a deeper emotional impact too.

Gotta love your dogs, because they love you unconditionally.

This reminds me of a joke as to why dogs are better than women.

Put your dog and your wife in the trunk of the car for an hour.
When you open the trunk, which one is really happy to see you???

oh yea.

"Hey this HOMECOMING video of our son (husband?) COMING HOME from IRAQ after 14 MONTHS needs a little music. what would be a good song that would capture our feelings?"
"How about that Green Day song everyone loves. Whats it called again? Oh yea: GOOD RIDDANCE."

Very moving. I love this video. Just wish they picked a better song, is all.

To those saying dogs act the same towards you coming home from work or even the mailbox, I disagree.

I just came back from a 4 day weekend trip, the longest I've ever been away from our 1 year old pup and I got a triple dose of the welcome home face licks and tail wags than I normally do coming home from work. Could be just me, but the dogs in this video seemed ecstatic. Probably more so than usual.

I agree with Elessar.

I had a best pal once back in college that had a guide dog. I saw him and his dog every day during college. After I moved back home, he came to visit me a couple of years later.

At the airport, I hadn't yet reached the waiting area yet where they were coming off the plane. As soon as they come out the hall, the dog spots me coming way down the walkway from the terminal. The dog went nuts.
This dog is usually pretty professional acting and calm, but completely lost composure when he saw me. My friend just had to let him be a 'dog' for a bit to say hello before trusting him to guiding again.
