Cop Says Obama Doesn't Follow Constitution, Neither Does He

Via Liberty Viral: A New Jersey police officer responded to a citizen’s inquiry about problems with a local animal shelter by claiming he is not required to follow the constitution because the president doesn’t either.

From Freethoughtproject:

Steve Wronko had gone to the Helmetta Police Department with a list of objections about recent violations at the Helmetta Regional Animal Shelter. According to the Community outreach facebook page created to expose the atrocities of the shelter, Reform Helmetta Regional Animal Shelter, there is a long stemming controversy from the Helmetta Mayor, Nancy Martin.

Martin also happens to be the tax collector for the City of Perth. In 2011, Martin made her son, Brandon Metz, the head of the Animal Shelter. She also appointed him to Animal Cruelty Investigator, Borough Laborer, Water Meter Reader, and Certified Recycling Co-ordinator, according to the facebook page.

When Wronko went to the police department to voice his complaints about the violations of his Constitutional rights by this corrupt, nepotistic system, he was met with even more corruption.

“I’ve made you objections about what’s going on at the shelter over there….,” says Wronko.

To which the corrupt Helmetta police officer replies, “Obama just decimated the freakin’ Constitution, so I don’t give a damn. If he doesn’t follow the Constitution, we don’t have to.”

Can we have a name and badge number so we can make thousands of complaints on this officers employment record and get him removed....please? It looks like Richard Recine in Helmetta, NJ
This is what you get when idiots listen to the talking heads on Faux and believe them.
EDIT: I put in a request to his supervisor (r.manney@helmettaboro.com) for the forms to make a formal complaint against Richard Recine....if this kind of thing bothers you, do the same. Together maybe we can make a difference.

That was insane. Was bad enough when so many police view violence against the public as their right. Now they just decline to do their basic jobs. This should get more votes.

"Considering how many videos showing clear police assaults on innocent people one can see on any given day on Facebook, one cannot help wondering: how many such assaults occur in the country each day -- a hundred for each one caught on a video, a thousand, ten thousand? I am genuinely puzzled that, at this late date, anyone still fails to see that the principal-agent relationship between the police and the public has been completely reversed. The police now feel free to abuse and assault anyone and everyone at their pleasure and caprice. (Please do not give me any bullshit about bad applies. Such claims no longer have any standing whatever.)" ~Robert Higgs

If it "bothers" you so much, @newtboy, here, "make a difference" on this.

EDIT: I can send you a dozen+ more (like this one) on a weekly basis if you want to make more "formal complaints."

Don't you know that anecdotes and data are pretty much the same thing to libertarians?

I heard SOME STORY FROM SOME DUDE therefore INCREDIBLY TENUOUS CORRELATION and WE SHOULD ALL ACT LIKE COLOSSAL DICKHEADS.

That would only be "better" if
1)this ass clown was right about Obama "decimating the constitution" (even if Obama has violated it, and there's no legal evidence yet presented that he has, that does not 'decimate' it, it would in fact strengthen it if he were called to task for such a violation...the document, the system it creates and delineates, and the rights it codifies are far stronger than a single person).

2)it would actually make a difference in this guys mind if it were somehow PROVEN that Obama had not (or would not in the future) broken a law or violated the constitution (contrary to the hyperbole he bases his baseless argument on).

3)if Obama's (or anyone else's) actions could somehow excuse the incontrovertibly wrong actions of another person. (eg. Charles Manson got crazy zealous people to kill and terrify others, so it's fine for me to get people to break into your home and kill your family? I think not, one person's wrong actions never excuse someone else's wrong actions....simply never.)

Because none of these are true, I find that your foreseeable, useless, partisan based suggestion is not 'better', proper, or useful.

Very rarely...okay, never have I agreed with Bobkight...but I will say this--no President (or at least in many years) has followed our Constitution if it has not suited them. Sometimes this disregard has been necessary in fact. But the comparison to Charles was a bit hyperbolic. I expect it from Bob, not you...

I think that applies to Americans as a whole...greedy, selfish, dumb, ignorant fucks. The good apples are few and far between. We need to change the bottom to change the top

The comparison to Charles was an extreme example I assumed everyone could agree with to illustrate the point that one person doing a wrong does not excuse another person doing a wrong, and not a comparison of any person to Charlie. The analogy was apt, as this person was saying because Obama doesn't follow the constitution, he doesn't have to. Even if you believe the first part of that statement, the second part does not follow.

Eh? I don't think @newtboy was comparing anyone to Charles Manson.

He was essentially saying "two wrongs don't make a right". Feels like a valid point to me.

If you want hyperbole, look at that bullshit Higgs quote. Let's actually ask how many police assaults are happening. Instead of making up figures (on a fucking logarithmic scale, no less), let's get some actual data. Let's find out who these police are, and let's prosecute the bastards. And then while we're at it, let's get a percentage figure on the number of decent cops doing their jobs vs assholes abusing their power.

But nah, fuck it. Far easier to just claim that any contrary evidence "no longer have any standing whatever" (by the way, it's "whatsoever") since grammar pedantry is so apparently important.

Data?? That just a fancy liberal word for story!
