Trump is Comey boss. he can be fired for any reason or for no reason. Grow up this is the same in any business.

The testimony also indicated that Trump IS NOT under investigation. Flynn was looked at but not as a primary target of the investigation.

Comey was one of the inside leakers. He leaked his own memo.

Fascinating. I can't help but feel a bit sad for the man. But there are some aspects of his testimony that leave me scratching my head:

I think it's fair to say that Comey helped to create a "turbulent" atmosphere at the FBI during the past year, one probably not matched since the firing of William Sessions in 1993.

I wish someone had thought to ask him what he'd imagine the results of the "hopes, loyalty and leaks" would have been if he hadn't been fired.

Former agents (and others), not current. No surprise that, as private citizens, some fired for being incapable of leaving their politics at home called to complain about his announcement that the Clinton investigation was over.
A better argument that there was dissent would be the numerous leaks from the NY branch of the FBI that clearly were intended to harm Clinton.

What I think this is not the point. The POTUS is in charge over the FBI and DOJ. POTUS is the boss. This was set up long before TRUMP walked on the stage.

POTUS is to enforce all laws. Apparently can let some slide as Obama did with marijuana and illegals. I'm sure Bush and Clinton did also.

It seems like you agree that they should be independent and that Trump is not respecting that independence but your party affiliations make it difficult for you to admit that.

I didn't catch all of it as there's a lot of UK politics going on, but from what i saw, he seemed very precise and forthcoming with detail. I cannot imagine for one second that this guy has any doubt in his mind what lying under oath would mean for him. He doesn't have a history of lying that i could find, and Trump himself praised him highly on selection. Combination of these things make me very skeptical that he's lying.

I can't rule it out, but there's an easy way to test this, surely? You have Trump go through the same thing, same consequences, and let his truth come out. It would clear this whole mess up, simple. In the past bob has said of fleeing black suspects "nothing to hide, nothing to fear", so i suppose he'd be supportive of this?

The role of the POTUS is absolutely NOT to enforce the laws. This is a wildly false statement, and ignorant even by your already staggering standards.

You don't have to defend Trump to call yourself a conservative or a Republican. You can admit that Trump is an incompetent boob and a liar and still wear your stars and stripes tie.
