Casey Heynes Interview - Bully Victim Who fought Back

Interview with Casey Heynes

I so want to put this in the Bravo channel...

Poor kid, he's had years and years of this with his parent(s?) not knowing a thing.

Man I hope my kids don't hide any kind of bullying from us as parents (The oldest is 7, so old enough for it to have started)

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag.(show it anyway)

I'm in the same boat as you - hits close to home for us having kids in Aussie schools - though obviously not just an Aussie problem

Standing up for yourself is not on the curriculum in the estrogen factory that is the current school system (at least where I live).
Still has to lose that weight though.

Depends. Sometimes it's necessary for development. I was a fatty while going through puberty, but now I'm a 6ft 5 block of man ham.

No, wait, I'm still an obese dwarf living in my mother's basement.

They probably will... it's embarrassing.

ShakaUVMsays...

I was secretly afraid that Casey would turn out to be just as big a prick as Ritchard obviously is.

I'm very happy he seems like a pretty reasonable kid, especially everything he's gone through.

The video clip could use a little less Lifetime Channel music though.

Peroxidesays...

I was bullied, harassed and made to feel worthless for many years, but being about the build of a toothpick, snapping was sadly not an option for me. I assume this is the case for many other kids these days, hope the kids who aren't big enough to throw the smack down find a solution to the living hell that being bullied (mentally and physically. the former can actually be worse.) at school is.

Unfortunately that is where weapons even out the odds and that is why we get school shootings when kids have been bullied and finally defends themselves... (I just wonder where the school stabbings are as I assume it is easier to get a hold of a knife than a gun...)

jwraysays...

This particular circumstance was unusual in that the bully was half the size of the person being bullied. It doesn't work that way in most cases.
