ChosenOnesays...Wow.. that is pretty. Wonder whose job it is to remake Gonar the giant testicle monster.
antsays...Wow. I can't wait!
RedSkysays...They're still making this? I gave up on waiting for this long, long ago.
Zonbiesays...*scifi
siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (Scifi) - requested by Zonbie.

I had as well, honestly! I'm glad to see they've still been working on it.
AnimalsForCrackerssays...I'm really interested to see how the AI for this is going to turn out. The containment squads better not just be Combine soldiers dressed in drag! Looks awesome so far.

HD version
videosiftbannedmesays...Looks great. They should release this in episodic format, rather than trying to do the whole game at once.
Oh well, still looking forward to it. I just want to know, whose going to make HL2 for the HL3 engine? NOT.
Psychologicsays...Looks like they're remaking the HL Deathmatch maps for multiplayer too.
elyssesays...YES PLEASE!
spoco2says...OH YEAH!
I had forgotten anyone was trying to do this. But this looks superb. Will tide me over until Episode 3 I would imagine.
I tried playing the original half life again a while back, but it was a case of not being able to really get into it due to the poor graphics and lack of any physics.
I think the lack of physics was the big killer, it's amazing how you start taking things like that for granted.

Not mentioning any names, but I know who they can use as a model...

Hey man, don't bring my name into this...
Clumsysays...I had high hopes for this a year or more back, and now, having forgotten about it, I have a renewed interest. I hope they can deliver in 2009.
CrushBugsays...I just commented so hard.

They're just following in the footsteps of Valve.
NicoleBeesays...Nooo, don't say that! They'll scrap everything and build a new engine for it.

Paybacksays...^ You waiting for the fan redo of SS2 Nicole? I half am. First scared sound I have ever uttered due to a game was when an infected snuck up behind me in a hallway I just cleaned out and screamed "KILLLL MEEE" as I turned around.
shatterdrosesays...I wonder how it ends . . . .
Raigensays...The Zebra did it.

NetRunnersays...If any videogame can truly be a "timeless" classic, it's the original Half-Life.

Mine was the original Quake. Walkin down a skinny little bridge, heard some shuffling, and turned around to a face full of fiend. Although I'm not sure I made a noise, unless knocking everything on my desk over or peeing a little counts.
southblvdsays...Wasn't Valve doing this originally but then cancelled the project?

Is there one? I've been dreaming of that especially hard since I ran face-first into the kiddie gloves of Bioshock. If there is, I can't wait. Like you, I had some of my most intense gaming moments in that game. My favourite aspect though was that it was one of the most solid Co-op games I'd played (even if its story basically ignored the random duplicate running around with you.) I haven't had running-for-your-life creepiness playable with a friend to the same degree since then, until maybe left for dead.

I don't remember, honestly. What I do know they planned and did was release the original running under the source engine. What that amounted to was basically lighting and texture improvements - they did no work on redoing any of the levels or models or what have you.
Paybacksays...^ Meh... just went searching for that SysShock2:Source mod I referred to and it seems EA Games have squashed it like a pile of worms. (annelid_medpatch reference)
