By your own words, you said the money supply within the US has gone up 271%. That would mean the economy is coming back from the recession. Unless of course, your FOR recessions in my country?

Unlike the last idiot we had in the White House, this guy understands things. Following the status quo only servers to polarize the left and ring wings more. Results in the extremists from either side coming out of the wood work, feeling its 'ok' to launch attacks (including threats of violence) with impunity. Is THAT, what you want for my country?

And truthfully, Mr. Obama does not want to take over health care. There are, quite alot of problems with the health care system in the USA. There is no silver bullet solution like the GOP is brainwashing you with. Nor, is this guy trying to take over in some sort of hidden agenda or 'grab for power'. Funny that the last guy tried to do that, but not a single Republican said a word.

Somethings that should be done regarding the health care system in the USA:
A) Get our 40-50 million citizens who dont have coverage, some sort of coverage. The long term benefit will save us, and the short term gain is those who skip seeing a doctor over serious issues, can get help.

B) Setting up the legal system, so that health care companies can not act in together, or conspire against Americans on the rate of health care. As it stands now, there are no anti-trust laws in effect for the health care industry. Wouldnt you want such laws in effect for our health? Drinking water? Food system & supply?

C) Set up a system that gives a base level of care coverage across the board. Makes companies accountable to the level of care they give. That gives a bonus to companies that get things done right the first time, and starts penalizing the longer and deeper screw ups take place. As it stands now, if a hospital screws up, or you catch an illiness inside, chances are you will be back to the hospital for further treatment. Does that sound like a wise policy to have?

D) Set up a system for preventive medicine. Give Americans a tax saving or incentive to eat right, exercise, and live better. That is like free money to go work at the gym, and be healthy in the process. Your against looking and feeling good?

E) Behave in a civil manner. Yes, even idiots that have no clue how to behave in society, can get a fair say at town hall meetings. When people come together, discuss the issue(s) at hand as reasonable, mature, and forward thinkers, great things take place. Founding fathers did it, why cant we? They didnt have 1 billionith the tools we have at our disposal. Or are you as Rep. Barney Frank put it "just a dinning room table'?

Yes, there are alot of issues, and the president has his work cut out for him. Rather then waste your time, with your fearful and childish rant. Why not be productive and learn what is the issue, and how it can help the USA on this issue.

You are correct to worry about the possibility of inflation but to fear it at this point in time and trash Obama over it indicates that you know nothing about the subject.

If the FRB prints new money and sends it out into circulation that creates significant inflationary pressure, but what is happening is that they have used that money to bail out financial institutions that are still afraid to lend it out to business, industry and consumers. For the most part those funds are still on deposit with the FRB. Out with one hand in with the other. Result, no actual significant increase in the money supply. Now if and when the banks start lending that money out its a whole new ballgame. As that is happening they will need to get those funds repaid and reduce the money supply to offset increasing inflationary pressures.

And as for taking over health care .. your point is? That would be a good thing. If you think health care should be a for profit system then you must enjoy paying 30% of your insurance premiums directly into the pockets of executives whose sole goal in life is to deny you benefits as much as they can get away with.

People say whatever, truth is they're cowards because they don't do anything about it. Anderson wants to save this country, Bobnight wants to save this country. It's called organized protest and education, that's what changes things. Go get organized and exchange ideas and develop a movement of the people.

Sit and pray all you want, that changes nothing...post blogs and threads all day long, changes nothing. Get organized, that changes something, and you might get your mind changed about how to help this country too.

^Yogi dont try to talk sense into these people. I have learned over time that you cant argue rationally with irrational people and intend to get anywhere. Your best bet, is to argue for reason and logic as a means to solve the problem, discuss what sources are credible and uncredible, and patiently hack away at the bad parts of their arguments with solid analogies and examples.

The difference being in the second instance I describe, you don't assume that they are using reason as a means to solve the problem.

You can't be serious. Printing more money means that the economy is recovering? Wow, why didn't we think of this before... if we just keep printing more and more money then we'll never see another recession!

As unpopular as BobKnight's comment was, he's right about our current fiscal policy being quite dangerous. There is a very real possibility of destroying the dollar. It may not happen, but if Obama and company screw this up then we're going to have problems that terrorists could never dream of causing.

I like Obama and many of his policies, but don't underestimate the gravity of the financial situation. They're trying to walk a fine line between propping up economic activity and devaluing the currency. I'm guessing that there is some behind-the-scenes political maneuvering in an attempt to avoid problems with our creditor nations.

It may work and bring us out of the recessionary forest intact, but don't think for a moment that our current path of printing money to pay the bills is a safe one.
