Shopping at Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.de and Amazon.ca

It looks like we've figured out a way for you to shop at your international Amazon webshops. To help support the Sift by shopping at Amazon, use the following specially created links, each of which is available at the top of http://amazon.videosift.com:If there's another Amazon domain that you'd like to shop at but isn't listed here, let us know and we'll add it! Thanks for the support, friends.

[update]
The previous links we were using for the international sites weren't working, but they've been adjusted/fixed so they should be in full working order now.

Cool. Now I don't know how hard this would be and maybe it would require human attention but it would be useful if the items were categorised according to type, i.e book, CD, DVD, other. And then we could click on CD items and sort on popularity for example.

Sorry to keep asking for moar.

So if I use one of these links you get commission on any purchase I make? As much as when I would directly click through to the product via the Amazon link in a post?

In theory, yes. We came up with this because of some information blankfist discovered and it *seems* this works that way, but I guess the only way to find out for sure is for someone to make a purchase that way.

Thanks for the support everyone. And thanks for the suggestions, buttfoot.

Well I hope it works, I just purchased a DS game for my boy and used the link. When will you know whether it does work through those links? I'm gonna be doing a lot of my christmas shopping through there in a couple of months!

Fantastic. Thanks ac for helping and thanks for letting us know we have a good test purchase to investigate. It seems Amazon only updates us once a day for the previous day, so any purchase today (local time Sunday) won't be know to us until some time tomorrow morning (Monday). As soon as we have the new stats, we'll know for sure if those links work! Thanks again.

I cannot for the life of me get this to work.

I have clicked on the amazon.co.uk link as in the amazon.videosift.com channel.

I've gone to the product I want to have the link to (here is the link on my browser I'm using) and then I put it in as a * amazon= invocation... and I just keep getting emails from sifty telling me I'm a dolt.

What am I doing wrong? And this should be easier... I'm trying to make you money here!
