When the first siftup video was posted it was pretty interesting to put faces to the screen names.

However, I'm not sure it would be the same in a little thumbnail.

There's caching issues to consider, too. It might be better to make it 2-3 days at least, since it's not uncommon for someone to change their avatar and not have it reflected for a while. I seem to remember @MarineGunrock changing his a couple years back and it taking a few months before siftbot finally woke up and started serving the correct image.

i don't know why i voted yes. I think anonymity is truly valuable. Or priceless.

I am just going to copy the pictures and put dicks for noses etc. etc.

Not all species can sting. I am a species that can sting. I never had to use it though.

I changed mine to my face on a whim the other day. I had my hoodie bunched and tied tight.

My profile is linked to my facebook page and I never bothered to change it.

I am Heavy Weapons guy.

But in all honesty, I'm heading to an Airshow in Detroit in a couple weeks. I still have a promise to fulfill from like last year saying that I'd send a picture of me in a Videosift shirt, however, my Videosift broke.

I have a Vidcu ft shirt now, because the lettering fell off. It's sadly not the same.

So, it won't be in a sift shirt, but I'm sure I'll have a picture of me standing in front of a plane, or something.

Voting for this poll ended with the majority of users voting Yes, it would be fun to see the face of a sifter..

I like the opportunity web anonymity gives, allowing ideas to be exchanged without judgment being made based on gender, skin colour, physical attractivity, etc. Then again, I'm one of those people who hate having their picture taken but love taking/looking at pictures of others (with their permission of course), so to all you yay-sayers, pics or you didn't happen!
