husband tests bullet proof glass with his wife

Shot in the early thirties, a man with a rifle tests an early version of bullet proof glass by having his wife hold the glass to her face while he shoots at her.

1. That is some good marketing right there. (This is NOT just a home video.)
2. She is HARDCORE.
3. I'm sure she had a choice.
4. There should be a femme tag because that woman is ridiculous cool.

Remember ladies, if you want to make your man happy, make sure to have his dinner, coffee, and a soothing cigarrette ready for him when he comes home from a hard day at work at the bullet proof glass factory. And of course, if your man feels like testing out some of the product at home, try to be as accomodating as possible!

So I'm just wondering the obvious... why was it necessary to have someone stand behind the glass?

It's a marketing gimmick, not an actual test. I doubt they did this until they were absolutely sure that the glass would stop the bullets every time (and that the shooter never missed).

There's something oddly Soviet about the #1 ribbon next to a vid like this.

"Dad, women aren't going to like getting shot in the face."

"Women will like what I tell them to like."

Maybe this guy really is trying to shoot his wife and she keeps blocking herself.

I think this is a commercial for the women of the 30's -

Bullet Proof Glass -
"by women, for women".
