I think that the most surprising part of this video is where Erik Wolpaw describes his other videogame job as grueling and terrible -- as far as I can tell, the only other game company he's worked for is Tim Schafer's Double Fine. Very surprised to hear that that's such a crappy place to work.

What a horribly unhealthy thing to have at your work. I know I'd eat too much crap food if it was just THERE and free all the time while I was coding.

I like the idea of the weekly catered lunch though, good way to get everyone together to talk informally. I bet they get some good little breakthroughs and a-ha moments during or stemming from those lunches

My TV has channels for horrible things like hours of reality TV, soap operas, etc. but I somehow manage to not tune in.

It sounded like Gabe requested the diet Coke, presumably others have requested the fruit, trail mix, etc. so I imagine that between exercising some self control and requesting healthy alternatives an employee there could be happy, healthy, and fully snack-provisioned if they so desired.

Note to self: Make documentary on company gym, yoga classes, basketball, volleyball, and skateboard clubs, but make no mention of the monthly cakes, pay day junk food orgy, and revolutionary bacon checklist system.
