N Korea evilness needs to be made more public. A true disgrace.
A totally brainwashed society by it government.

Great video. I only wish more was done to free its people.

Really? Who in the hell is possibly ignorant of the atrocities that comprise life in N. Korea? You would have to live in a cave or be in a coma.

I suggest that most American do live in a cave. They don't pay attention to news. They just watch stupid shows and tune out.

They know N Korea is bad but don't really know who evil the leaders are.

I somewhat disagree, although I don't think much of the average American's grasp on current affairs, especially foreign affairs.

N Korea, however, is so incredibly well known as a mostly desolate wasteland populated by the abused slaves of the despotic dictator that runs it that we made multiple stupid stoner movies about it (one that got Lil' Kim's goat so bad they hacked Sony). To me, that means at least Hollywood sees it as unavoidable information almost everyone knows, even stupid stoners, and really the way it's portrayed in movies and TV indicate that most people think it's worse than it actually is there. It's not really Mad Max times over there like many believe, but it is awful.

I can't believe I'm doing this but I think I agree with bob.

While people will tell you that bad things happen in N. Korea it's not really big news. If it were reported more often and with more vigour then there might be a will to do something about it.

When was the last time you saw a news story about how bad conditions are in N. Korea? When the US or UK governments want to do something about a country like this the media is flooded with it. People get behind the cause because they hear so much about it. This isn't happening with N. Korea because no one seems bothered by it. Americans and British will tell you how important it is that something is done about Muslim states, but wouldn't even think to mention N. Korea, not because N. Korea is so much better but because they just don't think about it because they're not told about it all the time.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's shit that the world works this way, but it does and if we want to get things done we need to understand this.

Last week when they, again, threatened us with nuclear missiles. Granted, there wasn't much about the conditions, but they were mentioned. I hear about them at least once a month, usually more, but I watch a lot of news.

I can't believe I'm arguing that average Americans are informed, even just a little bit. Did I wake up in bizarro world?

Edit: They don't have much oil or natural resources, and they do have nukes, you can be certain the west won't find the will to stop the atrocities, that's not how we roll.
