Laser-head Cat

... for the "human interaction" challenged
moonsammysays...

I'm inclined to think it would be best to just never, ever do this. If that cat looks in the direction of *anyone's* eyeball, that could cause significant damage. If there's a low-level mirror the cat could potentially even hurt itself.

Too bad though, as this is otherwise awesome.

Stormsingersaid:

Pro tip...don't -call- the kitty once the laser is mounted. If she looks at you, you'll have blue stripes in your vision for hours.

"Studies have found that even low-power laser beams of not more than 5 mW can cause permanent retinal damage if gazed at for several seconds; however, the eye's blink reflex makes this highly unlikely." wikipedia

Red laser pointers normally output 5mW or less.

This was just a test. The full scale version uses blue-ray burner lasers taped to 3 dozen blind cats to be released into the Westborough Baptist Church and it's buildings.
