Britney Spears Live Vocal Track Isolated.

Because Britney Spear lip syncs, the live vocal feed is turned down during songs. Of course, a sneaky sound guy could easily bus that track to a recording device and then post it on youtube. Hehehe.....

It's very hard to memorize your dance steps and sing at the same time.
But still, goddamn we Americans are fake, and shallow... and gullible...
This makes me really depressed.

To her credit, she cant hear herself, and shes doing an aerobic workout.....you try singing in that situation.

I dont care how good you are in a sound booth, you are gonna sound like shit.

I still dont like her music though >.>

At least she knows the words.

This is why you don't want to hear the live vocals of shows like this. I want to see someone who is able to do that. And she HAS to jump around like that, it distracts from the awful music.

Would be more interested in hearing she sing normally.

"It's very hard to memorize your dance steps and sing at the same time."

James Brown?
Micheal Jackson?
It's not that it's hard, it's that it takes talent.

Britney's talents (insert punchline here)

Whenever I think of Britney Spears, I start getting a little worked-up because as horrible as she is, there can't be a single person who deserves all the BS she has to put up with. Then something like this comes along.

Majortomyorkesays...

^ I have a hard time feeling bad for someone who has put themselves into the spotlight and continues to make millions doing so. I can think of many other people (teachers, salespeople, servers, police officers, anyone who works on the phone for a living, bartenders, cooks, maintenance people, etc) that have to put up with a lot more BS and get paid a lot less doing so that are more worthy of respect than a corporate pop icon.

spoco2says...

This could easily be fake, but it could also easily be real...

Will we ever know? I don't know, but it does help to make people question whether what they're seeing 'live' really is.

There are a LOT of artists who do really, you know, sing and play live, and are damn brilliant to go and see, but going to a concert like this? It's just like watching a music video really.

No thanks.

HollywoodBobsays...

Ladies and gentleman, there is your proof that the American music industry needs to die a horrible bloody death.

Face it if she's that awful can you really trust that there's any real talent left in America?

Deanosays...

To be fair do her fans want live vocals? There is a strong expectation when seeing pop acts, that you're going to hear audio quality similar to the CD (or ahem, download). I imagine many know that the mic is just for show.

It's a bit different when acts are expected to have the talent to perform live and provide a slightly different take on the material that makes attending the gig a special experience.

MINKsays...

SHE is fake. Not the video.

The fact that she sucks money out of naive little girls by selling them porn and body image problems doesn't do her any credit either.

"but she can't be expected to sing and dance at the same t..."
SHUT THE FUCK UP!

If I remember correctly, the golden age of music didn't have talentless sluts like this at the top of the list.

Jimi Hendrix anyone?

schmawysays...

Certainly it requires talent to dance and sing, but that's no excuse for lipsynching. It was a high crime when Milli Vanilli did it, but somehow it's forgivable now? Anyway, you might be able to sing really well, but if you don't have a decent monitor (if you can't hear yourself) it's really tough, like writing with your eyes closed.

Although this is thought of as a hoax, I think that's what might be happening to Linda McCartney here...

Isn't this exactly what this kind of pop act is about? It's not necessarily about the singing qualities, but very much about the show, the celebrity personality.

That being said, it is shit.

Quboidsays...

This is hearsay but apparently at times you can lip read Janet Jackson while "singing", she's counting off dance moves. At least Spears is trying and probably doesn't even know how bad she sounds.

As for how fake it is ... well, what do you expect. Truly talented people can do both but Spears was never famous for talent. If you go to a Spears concert, chances are you are more interested in watching her dance anyway. OTOH, I'd be pissed off if I went to a Pink Floyd concert and they mimed.

Like is said above, I want to hear the studio singing before any tweaks are made.

I get more out of breath from rocking the fuck out during guitar solos and just having fun in general while jamming with my buddies, and I can still sing in key even without a monitor. This is called "bitch ain't a good singer."
