Excellent….good timing too, seems The New York Times just bought wordle and won’t promise to keep it free.
They also won’t promise to keep it to easy well used words.

I will probably continue my streak until the day I have to pay, or I fail, and then stop.

I dont see how they can hope to make money off this since anyone can make his own wordle with a random word selector (the current one has a fixed list).

The current wordle can be downloaded including the word list good enough for 7 years, apparently.

I believe a big part of the game's success is the social aspect, that everyone gets the same word every day and shares their results with one another.

You don't get that by just playing the game by yourself. And I think that's what NYT wants to capitalize on.

The one and only time I played Wordle was a version in French. My French isn't great, but I somehow managed to get the answer on the second row. This story doesn't go anywhere, I'm just showing off.

I'll make an exception for Phrasle, though. I actually didn't know if you'd update it, or if it was just going to be a permanent rickroll. That was nice.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, @eric3579!

I was trying for a long time to come up with a way to add at least a small level strategy into the mix, without making it too weird or confusing.

Now it's a bit more like Wheel of Fortune and less like plain old hangman I suppose.

I like the change too. It made me fail for the first time! Good deal, it’s no fun if it’s too easy. Good job @lucky760
Also, no problem on the iPad with this one.

Thanks @newtboy!

Really glad it's improving for you guys. It's a lot of guess work, as I'm often unsure how things may be coming across for everyone playing.

Super relieved it worked for you today... but now I'm worried about tomorrow's!

The first time I played this a couple weeks ago it confused the shit out of me and I didn't know what I was doing. So I got locked out of my first game pretty quick.

Second game I tried a couple days later I figured out the phrase and I was happy to have figured out the mechanics of the game, from what I recall there wasn't any instructions.
