Yep, I hope they can maintain quality though.

There are also rumors that Disney and Sony worked out a deal for Spider Man to appear in some of the other movies, while Sony retains Spider Man for solo films... Given Spider Man's roll in Civil War, I'd guess that's the movie he's most likely to appear in. I wonder if that deal means that some of the MCU characters can cross over to the Spider Man movies to help boost those. If that's all it took to make the deal, if I were either studio, I'd do it. Cross promotion like that... hecks yeah. Too bad Fox is still apparently being stubborn. Still, exciting times.

Also, a teaser trailer for a movie that is still 4 and 5 years out. That's got to be near a record.

EMPIREsays...

Oh crap! I can't believe I did that. I know the difference between their and they're very well, and I hate it when people use it wrongly. I must have been very distracted somehow.

Thanks for the heads up!

Good lord, now they're showing teasers for movies that are half a decade out?

Makes me wonder how many people are whimsically thinking to themselves "I wish I could make five years of my life vanish so I can watch these!"

No kidding.

Technically there isnt anything new, besides the infinity gauntlet and thanos in the end of that trailer, just a bunch of clips of previous movies to build up infinity wars. After all this clip was released when marvel was doing their big line up of future marvel movies. This was just the cherry on top of their presentation. Still got several years of movie tie ins and build ups.

Stan Lee Media is a silly company. They tried to sue Stan Lee himself (this probably a good example of why to never name a company after yourself).

As I understand it, they lost their chance to make a claim when they didn't go after Stan Lee and POW Entertainment early enough and before it was all brought into the Marvel fold, and then into the Disney fold. Their claim is that Stan Lee signed rights over to Stan Lee Media and then illegally transferred the rights to POW Entertainment (now part of Marvel, and therefor part of Disney).

The courts have on several occasions ruled that the transfer in the end was valid... I get a bit confused on that part, as it seems it is mostly a statue of limitations thing. They didn't fight it in time, so they lost the rights. It's why various companies have to fight to protect their copyright/trademarks and the like so often, otherwise you risk ownership. I'd think the company will continue to lose battles since they have been ruled against so many times. Where does the money come from to keep doing these lawsuits?
