Jack Black was interesting to watch, as he usually is, so his work in King Kong was fine by me.

Didn't think Sofia Coppola was terrible. Not memorable, but not bad either. Plus, for me she atoned for any mishaps with Lost in Translation.

It always bothered me that Kenobi's description of him in Star Wars as "He was the best star pilot in the galaxy, and a cunning warrior. And he was a good friend" didn't jive with what we got in the new prequels.

James Franco in that Wizard of Oz prequel. Not a single honest moment in the entire movie. The man was trying his best, but that just wasn't his part.

Thought so too, like, how do you cast a remake of King Kong anyhoo?? Black's character in that film in particular (can't really stand him in most films) suited the director's groove and Black's level of Jack...writing totally sucked, because why? Can't recall a single LINE!!! (close to 3 grueling hours)

John Wayne as Genghis screams tomes of the inner-workings of the OCD God of ta-tas and aeroplanes, that film was excruciatingly surreal-Howard Hughes flicks and a sanitized hotel suite with theater seats and room service....A freak can dream, can't he?

I'm definitely not saying that Hayden Christiansen is a great actor, but Anakin's whiny petulance came purely from George Lucas's shitty dialogue. I don't think there are many actors that could have portrayed Anakin better, Lucas gets complete responsibility for the character of Anakin

Whereas I agree, that the character was whiny, Christiansen was still an awful actor in that role. His lines were.. just, forced. Crap material or not, he didn't play the part well.
