Aw man, this makes me cringe. It's one thing to get your leg smashed, but face+escalator is just not a good combination.

That being said, this is just incredibly stupid and he has no one but himself to blame when he'll be called a faceless freak.

He survived the video, but without a hospital he wouldn't survive the day. It looked like he got at least a severe concussion and might have a cracked skull and a broken neck.

I guess for those who want a shot at internet notoriety, videos like this are a win win situation, either you pull off the stunt and its pretty good, or you gash open your face and its greatness. Lord knows, they just keep getting funnier.

i saw another video of what he was trying to accomplish, but im not sure where. it was just a cool thing where you go down the escalator while just hanging there. he overjumped a little though.

A snuff film shows the actual death of a human being. No "what ifs" involved. Close calls are amazing to watch and a lot of very popular videos would have to be removed from this site if we followed that speculative "could have died" approach

A bit unrelated except for the idiocracy, but I just saw a vid on AOTS (dunno if it's Sifted) of a guy bending over in front of a springy horsie on a children's playground while a friend bends it back and it rebounds onto the back of his skull. Looks like a typical "Hey look how stupid I am" video, until it's followed up with a shot of him in the hospital about to go in for brain surgery.

That's a good eia vid with a powerful message.
