TY:Spot is a four-legged robot designed for indoor and outdoor operation. It is electrically powered and hydraulically actuated. Spot has a sensor head that helps it navigate and negotiate rough terrain. Spot weighs about 160 lbs.

Something about 1:21 - 1:24 is beautiful and yet creepy at the same time. It's amazing how nimble and sure footed this thing it. The way it recovered on the slippery asphalt was incredible.

Is there any reason they couldn't scale one up, wrap it in pink fur, add a mannequin's head and a saddle to one? Japan would officially fund that.

The part that gets me is :50 to 1:00; it is almost surreal. Parts of it, your brain really wants to tell you that it is CGI, but you know it isn't.

Just fantastic engineering. Looks like they are ready for use pretty soon.

quick edit- By far the most fascinating and interesting point, from an engineering standpoint is around :28.
