EMPIREsays...they've done a lot of progress. It moves very fast, very easily, and much more silently.
A10anisNo Robots were harmed? To the people who kicked me; I will look for you, I will find you, and I WILL kill you.
TheFreakIt's a fine testament to the engineering that every time they kick a robot dog, part of my brain is fascinated by the robots reaction and the other part of me thinks, jeez you don't have to be a dick about it!
articianI can't stand this socially accepted abuse!
Where is People for Ethical Treatment of Robots!?
oritteropoI wanted it to kick back
Or take a photo and post a mocking tweet... that would be funny too.

PaybackI think I'd be permanently pissed off if I was a gardener at Boston Dynamics.
00Scud00says...Good thing I don't work at Boston Dynamics, I'd have programmed one of those dog bots to start humping everyone's legs.
Digitalfiendsays...Something about 1:21 - 1:24 is beautiful and yet creepy at the same time. It's amazing how nimble and sure footed this thing it. The way it recovered on the slippery asphalt was incredible.
antI want to see a hedgehog hump a human's leg.

antOK, I'll send you 1 IRR soon.
Fine, but I'm demanding payment up front.
oohlalasassoonIs there any reason they couldn't scale one up, wrap it in pink fur, add a mannequin's head and a saddle to one? Japan would officially fund that.
kceaton1The part that gets me is :50 to 1:00; it is almost surreal. Parts of it, your brain really wants to tell you that it is CGI, but you know it isn't.
Just fantastic engineering. Looks like they are ready for use pretty soon.
quick edit- By far the most fascinating and interesting point, from an engineering standpoint is around :28.
