cybrbeastsays...IMO the Blackbird is on of the most beautiful and futuristic looking planes ever. What an awesome build, must have cost him a lot of money to make. Landing that thing must be terrifying.
I wonder what its top speed is. Googled around, but couldn't find anything but video on this one.
EDDsays...Yeah, I'm jealous of anybody who has the time and the money to create something like this. Someone on reddit said each of those engines alone must cost at least around $1200.
Throbbinsays...I'd strafe buildings with that thing.
kulpimssays...I'd cause a major international conflict with that thing.
gwiz665says...This looks so freaking awesome. I would have mounted a little camera in the tip or something, so I could fly as if I'm inside it. (Hell, he might already have that with the size of this thing.)
robvsays...nice highwaters.
nach0ssays...Upvote for capri pants and cold war-era spy planes.
radxsays...I've seen a longer version of this clip on some German forum a while ago, including details on the bird itself. I'll dig around, see if I can find it again.
rosser99says...It sounds like a vacuum cleaner.
kulpimssays...^vacuum cleaners sound awesome
Paybacksays...He who dies with the most expensive toys wins.
Paybacksays...Judging by what they show the guy playing with during startup, there's only one engine in the model, in the main fuselage. The nacelles seem to be just for cosmetics.
Still, coolest shit I've seen. Bling in its purest form.
deathcowsays...NEEDS BOMBS
supersaiyan93says...Needs an HD camera mounted in the nose.
Sketchsays...I can never pick this thing up on my scale model radar station.
Paybacksays...^ Their neighbour is building a 1:125th scale SAM site next door because of the noise...
antonyesays...Beautiful, just beautiful.
fdisksays...It didn't look like that guy was an especially good pilot for a plane of that cost. I really thought he was going to dork the landing.
Mostly I'm jealous. I just wish I had that much disposable cash to spend on the ugly but extremely fun e-planes that I fly.
maatcsays...*military
siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (Military) - requested by maatc.
conansays...there are several of those around, for example

German google with german buzzwords helps a bit
dagsays...Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag.(show it anyway)
I wonder if it has the power for say, a small child to lie on top and get airborne.
gwiz665says...^I wonder if you can get some jackass wannabe douchebag to do it... that would be a good fail video
grintersays...Some asshole likes to buzz the SF Bay Bridge with a jet-powered F14 from time to time.. Scared me shitless first time I saw it.
rkonesays...Thanks to this video I wasted hours going through this website (check 11/10/2008 for video of the plane flying).
Two things about this vid. First, I'm pretty sure there's two engines, the center is just an easy-to-access spot to attach the starter gas/fluid to.
Secondly, I think that the guy is a highly experienced pilot, he's intentionally flaring the plane to slow it down just before landing -- and it still didn't have a lot of room left after stopping.
messengersays...Never seen anything so supremely awesome and yet so lame at the same time.
*getalife
ChaosEnginesays...awww it's *dead.
I wanted to see this
