lv_huntersays...such dramatic music!
chingalerasays...Pretty damn sick-Checking out their website-These cats have all kinds of designer joining gadgets...German fasteners, FTW!

JustSayingsays...Obviously powered by magic. I can't explain how else it could work. Freaking magnets...
articiansays...That is awesome. My dad could always appreciate the mechanics of constructing physical objects. I never could until I was old enough to want to do so myself, then I realized how few options we have for so many physical configurations.
dingenssays...Looks like *engineering
siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (Engineering) - requested by dingens.
deathcowsays...I doubt that newell post and stair rail can be fastened to the high strength requirements of something like that application.
mxxconsays...Fucking magnetscrews, how do they work?!
Drachen_Jagersays...Did anyone else expect Conan to appear with a giant magnetscrew in his hands and cleave that guy in half with it?
Maybe the music was a tad ott.
grintersays...Bet it's a bitch when you want to take something apart and they get stuck.
...really, what is the point? Screws are good because 1) you can really torque them down to hold joints tightly, which does not look possible with the magnoscrew, and 2) because these strong joints are easily disassembled.
If you don't want to take the thing apart, use dowels, a mallet and some glue - cheaper, stronger, and fewer moving parts. If you want to take the thing apart, bite the bullet and use a regular screw, cause mangoscrew is going to get stuck.
Paybacksays...You miss the point. These are for making things you can later take apart and put back together in front of guests. Like a cool coffee table book.

braindonutsays...And I imagine it makes seamless connections FAR easier. I wonder how affordable it is. If they can figure out how to do it cheaply, it would seem to unlock a whole lot of great aesthetics options for furniture.

Spacedog79says...I reckon they'd be a pain because unless you get them perfectly aligned you won't be able to tell if they are done up fully or if they snagged part way.
renatojjsays...I wish there was something like a magneto-stent that women could have surgically inserted in their falopian tubes that would open or close with the help of an outside magnet like that.
So women would be able to choose whether they want to be fertile anytime they want.
Mandtissays...The day someone wants to dismantle some of that furniture, they better have the instructions manual at hand so they can know where all the screws are located...
