Fairbssays...Any guesses on how this video is captured?
Chaucersays...my guess would be a lava suit and a long pole.
brycewi19says...Man, I would be a bit afraid that the waves would push me or my camera right in to the lava flow.
bareboards2says...*quality *promote the visceral fear of being pushed into molten lava by Mama Nature and the Tides.
Dang.
siftbotsays...Promoting this video and sending it back into the queue for one more try; last queued Wednesday, January 14th, 2015 12:41pm PST - promote requested by bareboards2.
Boosting this quality contribution up in the Hot Listing - declared quality by bareboards2.
Daldainsays...Reminds me of the day after eating some spicy Indian food.
Ashenkasesays...What is happening under the water is way more interesting:

Phoozsays...LAVA IS SO COOL! I remember as a kid the first job I wanted was to be a Volcanologist.
deathcowsays...eia even being that close with a pole
lucky760says...It's a drone camera.
And that footage is epically cool, ironically.

siftbotsays...This video has already declared quality - ignoring quality request by lucky760.
Bruti79says...Earth sharts!
Clivesays...Best place for that molten shit.
articiansays...Are you sure that's a drone? The aerodynamics of that environment don't seem compatible. I know quadros are pretty steady, but the camera even dips into the water at one point which is definitely (to my limited knowledge) something a drone can't do.
I imagine you meant some other kind of drone than what I'm picturing, no?
It's a drone camera.

non_sequitur_per_sesays...Probably some type of video capture device. Just a wild guess.
Any guesses on how this video is captured?
lucky760says...Finally someone who's making some sense.
I think you're right. In fact I'd be willing to bet it was a camera.
Probably some type of video capture device. Just a wild guess.
iauisays...I think you can see at the beginning that the camera frame is descending from above. There's some delay between when the water rushes in and when the operator reacts to it and there's other aspects that point me toward thinking it's not hand-held. It seems to have a fairly small sideways range and move up and down quite easily so I think it's on the end of a pole. (I know, Mom joke incoming... (; )
Zawashsays...I'm guessing a long selfie-pole finally put to some good use.
And - that at the top looks like a dragon regurgitating.
