I've somehow managed to be rather oblivious to auto-tune. So that was interesting, from a perspective of someone who didn't really know much about it.

Also, it was way less sarcastic than your average "know your meme" clip, which could be a good thing or a bad thing I guess. But thumbs up from me!

Hm - I'd never even heard of the thing before. I saw that Simpsons episode where Bart, Nelson, Milhouse & Ralph were a boy band and there was some sort of computer thing that made them sound good, but I thought it was just a McGuffin. Interesting. Props for Professor Al.

I've hated auto-tune since the first time I heard it. It has pretty much ruined American Pop over the last decade for me. Worst is when a really talented singer like Shakira jumps on the auto-tune bandwagon, making her entire "She Wolf" album into dog shit.

It occurs to me after listening to this that the voice of GLADOS in Portal was an auto-tuned voice. Not singing but still it had that sound effect.

Auto tune? Pffft... nothing beats a good old fashioned vocoder!
