Huge, no-kill, lifetime adoption center for cats

The Cat House On The Kings is (like the video says), basically a planet of the cats. They get to roam around free on the site's 12 acres, and if they don't get adopted, they get to stay their whole lives.

id imagine she either takes care of most of the basic vet needs herself (she mentioned working for one to learn how) and anything major she takes in to town. who knows, if its something in the middle she might even have a vet who volunteers to come out and check them.

Some vets volunteer time (and even supplies) at sanctuaries, and enjoy the benefit of having eccentric animal lover friends as well as a possible location to place animals if the need arises.

Exotic or large animal sanctuaries often rely heavily on close relationships with knowledgeable vets who are generous with their time. I remember this large rescue center from my neck of the woods has a vet and a clinic on-site, http://www.exoticfelinerescuecenter.org/ , so... animal health is something successful centers go to great lengths to take care of.

AH! I can think of no better use for the happy channel! I had a huge smile on my face this whole time This lady is getting a c-note care of Camhuffman, and I just found out I lost my job!

> Hot damn, 12 acres of cats!

I KNOW.. this place is awesome, for $50 you get a 5 minute ride around the grouds on a four-wheeler ATV and there are no rules, at all. We brought our whole project management team as a team building / stress relief exercise.

..and in the basement there are 100 caged children that she uses to remove the cat smell (attach a pole and then swish them around the floor like a mop...it works wonders.)

It almost seems cruel to adopt a cat from this place.

Ok, why hasn't the poster of this video commented yet? It's a shame that s/he only gets one star point for having something get this many votes on a first sift - if they comment there could be another star in this one for them

Hello? lehall? Excellent find yo.

Oops...I am here! I'm new to VideoSift so I was just watching to kind of get the feel for how the commenting usually goes.

As for the video - I am fascinated by this place, and like Camhuffman, I donated even though I'm short on cash. Now that I know they give tours, a trip might be in order, the next time I'm in California!

Also, I'm so glad this got sifted...I always seem to find the craziest stuff on YouTube, so I'm glad to finally have a place to share 'em. Mwaha! Many thanks to all who have commented and upvoted. I'm glad to be a part of such an interesting community.

All living things deserve compassion, Memorare. Taking care of humans while ignoring other species would be so much more pathetic.

And... idle rich? Did you not read the comments about people who are donating despite the fact they are low on cash? And who said they don't also donate to homeless shelters? Might want to get that sour attitude checked out.

BrknPhoenixsays...

@Memorare

The only rich people I know spend people I know spend tons of their money on charity and even run a non-profit food pantry for the homeless.

But then again, you're probably just making crap up based on nothing and I shouldn't bother responding to you.
