First game to earn a 10 out of 10 since Ocarina of Time. I may have to pick this one up :O

Now with full IGN goodness thanks to Lucky ^_^

Kudos for posting this review - as I'm not one of the (many) people that have downloaded it, this helps. As for the ones that have - what the hell, let's just have your opinion and impressions, come on, nobody gives a crap what you do on the internets!

I honestly thought I could resist the draw of this game, but all the reviews and videos that have popped up today have completely and utterly sold me. So I went from "Meh, maybe, maybe not" to "MUST. HAVE. NOW!" in the space of a few hours.

I've been a bit suspicious over IGN reviews since they whole fiasco over advertisers adjusting reviews, but if they are willing to give it a 10/10 and not a 9.5 or 9.75 then it's probably pretty good.

No wonder EA attempted a hostile take over mere weeks before the release.

I like how the reviewer makes a case that 60 bucks makes it a bargain. -And that he would even pay 300 bucks for it. Sounds to me like a little jab at those who have not been able to get a 360 or PS3 yet. I have, but I don't think I'm interested in the plot. Oh wait, the reviewer forgot to mention the plot.

K0MMIE: A game score is not supposed to be seen as ever right. A game score tells you how good the game is when the review is made. The score falls slowly over time, when game development well evolves. Some things (gameplay) have a longer half-life than others (graphics), which is why some games last a very long time (Starcraft) and others last a very short time (Doom 3).

I'm looking forward to this game coming to PC, because consoles are only for fighting games and guitar hero.

Congratulations Rockstar, you've finally hit last-gen graphics levels. Game looks good for a 2004 effort. And 16 players online WITH a cover system? Holy crap, I've never even heard of that before! Incredible! Rockstar is the most inventive developer EVER!

And to those waiting for the PC version, good choice, as the mouse/keyboard combo was an excellent control system back in 1995.

Forgot the plot?

..is this sarcasm?

I'll start with a quote "Even IF the single-player wasn't that great, the multiplayer makes it worth while."

"The single player has an incredible amount of depth."

And then from IGN itself, the written review

"Don't worry, GTA's famed over-the-top action and tongue-in-cheek humor are intact, but there is a new level of sophistication in the characters and the game world that raises the story above the norm."

and finally,
"10 Presentation
The story is Oscar quality. The use of the phone as a gaming portal is genius. There's really nothing more that could be asked for from GTA IV."

And then, this, because the concept just sounds awesome,

"And then there is Cops n' Crooks, the best of the objective-based multiplayer games. This has two teams, one side lawmen, the other hoodlums. The crooks are trying to get to a randomly selected extraction point and the cops are trying to arrest them with bullets. This mode forces teamwork, as both teams must strategize on the fly and rely on one another to assist in navigation. I"

Not surprised to see this shooting up the top 15. Should've officially called it when it rolled out of the queue.

@Animals - heck, GTA1 had multiplayer too - this'll be great.

I remember fleeing my friend's police car in a VW bug... oh, the chaos. Oh the humanity.

Warm coffee FTW indeed, that's hilariously awesome.

I LOVE that (below) phraseology.

10/10 and the best game in the last decade? Better than Deus Ex, or System Shock 2, or Half-Life? I seriously doubt it, but I'll still throw money at it... when the PC version comes out.

That was Gamespot, although you can't trust any reviews now after that disaster.
