A flying face-full of Bruno

Sacha Baron Cohen plays a prank on Eminem and drums up publicity for his upcoming "Bruno" at the MTV movie awards. From the looks of it, Eminem doesn't enjoy being the butt of the joke.

Here is the MTV version in high quality (but with a commercial) in case the embed above goes down again:

Jesus, we're supposed to be the most media-savvy generation in history, and people are still wondering if an MTV awards ceremony 'prank' is choreographed? I don't know what to say.

Funny stuff, though, and kudos to Eminem for being part of it.

Eminem definitely knew something was up, but I doubt he agreed beforehand to get balls in the face. It's very typical of Sasha Baron Cohen to get someone to agree to an interview/prank willingly and then turn the tables on them.

If eminem didn't know this was coming, then I applaud him and his body guards for not shit kicking him and just showing there disapproval by leaving.

Either way, fake or not, i don't really like cohen any more, he said nothing funny.

So either:

A.) Eminem didn't know it was going to happen, and got a man's balls put in his face. Hilarious.

B.) Eminem did know it was going to happen, and agreed to have a man's balls put in his face. Hilarious.

Either way, someone put their balls in Eminem's face. Hilarious.

Yeah, that pretty much drains the comedy value out of what Sacha Baron Cohen does when the other party is in on it. He did the same thing at the end of Borat with Pamela Anderson pretending to be surprised by his antics.

Without the element of watching real people react sincerely, it's just mediocre improv comedy.

What irritates me more is that this is exactly the sort of thing he would do to an ordinary person without warning them. But he knows that celebrities have money, and money buys you more legal rights.

Besides, this shouldn't be too shocking. I'm sure it's not the first time eminem has enjoyed an impromptu tossed salad.

In case your google search box is broken:

Andy Samberg’s head writer on the MTV Movie Awards, Scott Aukerman, now admits that the controversial Bruno/Eminem stunt was completely staged and rehearsed.

Which means that Slim Shady -- who appeared to be utterly horrified at the sight of Bruno's privates and later stormed out of the Universal Ampitheatre in anger -- is a much better actor than he proved in "Eight Mile."

Why, he's poised to be the new Sean Penn!

According to the Pop and Hiss blog, after a day of silence from Slim Shady and MTV, Aukerman wrote on his Tumbler: "Yes, the Eminem-Bruno incident was staged. They rehearsed it at dress [rehearsal] and yes, it went as far as it did on the live show."

What about the angry look Eminem gave Cohen’s buttocks? Just acting.

^ Nah...
C.) Eminem did know Cohen was going "fall" down but was probably to stop a couple feet above him. The extra distance to get nuts-on-chin was pure Borat fuckover.

But you forget to mention the important point. Someone put their balls in Eminem's face. The world is a better place for it.
