Convoy in Iraq that made a wrong turn and got ambushed

joedirtsays...

Damn.. sucks to get injured on a Halliburton/KBR job. No sick leave. You're fired. I'll bet the families of the other drivers didn't see any money. I'll bet he had to pay for the flight home.

To answer your question pass the grog, we're in Iraq because they have WMD's! Oh they don't? Opps... Sorry, my bad, Wrap it up & let's go home boys!

*blog

While very interesting to watch, there is a graphic scene in which shows a dead body of a contractor being mutilated with rocks. Last I checked, this violates VS policy right?

I agree with darksun - They describe it happening but you can't see it happen. Rock throwing may or may not be visible for the predator drone footage, but that was done after he was already dead.

this is graphic and *nsfw but hardly snuff. These poor men died in Iraq providing contractor support for our military. To turn a blind eye to their deaths and sacrifices (made in vain to profit KBR)... well, it's current events and newsworthy. Stuff kids should be required to watch in school. Not hidden away like some naughty deviant purient filth.

Bear witness to people that continue to die everyday we are in Iraq. *save all our young men from senseless war.

This is one of my favorite sports. Let's call it siftbot-bouncing..

Anyways, once someone condemns the video to discard hell, only an admin can salvage it from voteless status. But it can enjoy tons of time in the blog. Oh well JR threw it out, so I doubt he'll fix it back to voting front page status. We can always resubmit.

Is watching war coverage on the news counted as snuff?
Shouldn't people see the deaths they are partly responsible for?
I saw this on the ABC and SBS news in australia, and thought it was really powerful stuff. Shows the disconnect between army and contractors. It shows how Halliburton will shaft anyone at anytime, even their own employees with no maps, all in the name of business.

I know its not kittens, but can't we keep it anyway?

That would be scary as hell seeing your armed escort just leaving you there alone. I can't believe they don't arm these drivers. This guy's a redneck from Arkansas, I bet he knows how to handle a gun.

BTW, I thought this was going to be a video I saw a while back where a US convoy was ambushed by kids throwing rocks. I searched, but I don't see it on VS, maybe I'll find it and post it up.

God I hate it when one of our convoys has been ambushed. Is it just me or has the military recritment percentage gone down since the end of WWII? Anyways I beleive that the board should use this(not exactly the language or the actual killing of someone)to show our children what exactly is goin on in Iraq and the "War Against Terrorism".

Besides, Germany after the second World War banned the idea of showing it's country the content of the war and Adolf Hitler and what happened in 1939 to 1946. People in other countries know about WWII more than Germany's new generation of civilians. Now that I say it, other countries probable know more about Vietnam then most americans do today. Anyhow look at the German society, not as much as the way the live but what they know of their history in WWII.

Off track now, I say this "History does not long entrust the weak or the timid." Show children what is happening in the war in Iraq. And tell them how Bush is doing to 'opt against this threat. Keep this on the blog poor ole' confused siftbot. Do I hear an amen?
