This guy goes out of his way to carry two girls across the street and in the middle of his kind act some jerk goes spinning by on a wakeboard, spraying everybody with water, and when everyone's done wildly cheering for the showoff the average guy just goes back to the silent task of hauling these girls around in awkward silence.

Well it does look like they were prepping themselves to do so, pulling up their jeans, testing the water, which I imagine was damn cold by her reaction. Not NEARLY as fun as physically picking them up! If you're gonna perform a good deed, why not make it pleasant and make it last a little longer (they looked cute... from a distance...)?

There is a difference between chivalry and selflessness, you know... Unless you associate the former with "courtly love", as it was celebrated by troubadours in 12th century France. And even back then, 10 times out of ten, it usually had to do with a beautiful young woman... Is that such a terrible thing?

A road can overflood even though there is a drainage system in place. If it rains like hell over a big area the sewage pipes can reach their limit on how much water it can take away pr minute. Not saying that's the case here, but saying Russia dont have a drainage system because you see some russian people near a flooded road is not thougt through.
