radxsays...Bear Witch Project
spacemansays...Stop.. Moving.. BACKWARDS!!
Drachen_Jagersays...It's just a baby bear. Probably in it's first year after leaving mom. I think the bear just wanted a new friend.
blankfistsays...Yeah, this is why I don't go where bears are.
robbersdog49says...I want to know what happened next. I think I'd have stood my ground when I had the high ground, unless he's very close to help and making his way back to camp or something. The bear didn't look aggressive.
However, that's a very easy thing to say sat here, in my house, in a country without bears. Being out there in the wild being followed by a bear, I'd be leaving a big brown streak behind me as I ran like a loon, screaming in terror. I'm sure that would work too...
residuesays...This happened to me and a colleague during some field work in 2009 except there were 2 adult Grizzlies and they were charging us instead of casually walking... not a fun situation and this guy should definitely not be walking away from it...
lucky760says...Did they have to pry this footage from his cold, dead hand?
citosays...Had a similar situation with a brown bear here in the south, was deer hunting with my dad, we tried to leave it alone but it wanted to get too close... long story short, we didn't bag a deer that day, but we brought home a bear and had a bbq for the family.
citosays...oops mis-edit
Sagemindsays...I had a mother bear with three cubs living in my back yard a few years ago. I first noticed the bears as I walked into the back yard after dark with my dog on a leash. I went through the gateway, into the back yard, next to a tree. The three cubs were in the tree (up higher) and the mother was in the tree about four feet above my head. The bear slid in the tree, scratching the bark - that's the only way we know it was there. It was coming down as I flashed the flashlight at it. I think the flash of light stalled it enough for me to run back to the front door.
I'll tell you - you don't stop to think. You just get out of there. Where do you go when there is no house to hide in? He mentions just being a short way off from camp and I suspect a vehicle which would be the next best bet.
The bear at my place, then came around to the back sliding glass door and and watched our every move for the next two hours. They stayed for a week feeding the cubs on our apple trees.
My dog slept outside every night before that but hasn't since.
There's much more to the story but it get's long so I'll leave it at that.
NordlichReitersays...Is this guy... turning his back to the bear? From what I understand that makes you appear more like a prey item.

Sounds very similar to the common Drop Bear attacks here in Australia. Only difference is, you'd be instantly dead
Unsung_Herosays...It's better than being stalked by the Seattle Police.
savethecirclepitsays...Sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes, well, he eats you.
shponglefansays...Bear spray - never leave home without it
solecistsays...this shows a sincere lack of common sense...you have to ride the bear into submission, guy!
Ryjkyjsays...Jesus, I get so tired of these shaky videos. Doesn't anyone understand that it makes them almost impossible to watch?
Learn how to hold an f'ing camera already...
rebuildersays...Especially when being stalked by the second largest land predator in North America.

MonkeySpanksays...Is there a video from the bear's perspective? I think this video is biased.
ForgedRealitysays...This video was posted by the bear after having a nice warm lunch.
Opus_Moderandisays...To be fair, the man promised to call the bear but, never did. And now she has to bring up 2 cubs on her own? I'd be pissed too.
spawnflaggersays...The guy just needs to go hiking with a woman from New Jersey. She would call the bear's bluff.
