I did off road desert racing for years, driving >75 mph through silt clouds so thick I couldn’t see my hood, but those drivers are nuts!

People always wonder how they are going to get hurt traveling or touristing in what we charmingly used to call the 3rd world--and the answer is--it's going to happen in a traffic accident.

Indonesia: 15.3 road deaths/100,000 inhabitants/year
Bangladesh: 13.6 road deaths/100,000 inhabitants/year

However:

Indonesia: 36.7 road deaths/100,000 motor vehicles/year
Bangladesh: 1020.6 road deaths/100,000 motor vehicles/year

Flashbacks to Nepali taxi drivers. They'll dip out straight into oncoming traffic at full speed and then cut people off at the last second to get back into their lane. A local friend told me the traffic law is, don't hit anybody.

Speeding takes no skills, just a death wish and a total disregard to their passengers' safety in these instances.

I speed a lot, but I don't rage/race, that takes no skills, just a higher EQ.

Y'all are saying this really ain't a sport?!
