Newbies that posted "good stuff" are to be found in that playlist of swampgirl's above-Timing being what it is, y'all may want to check the user's starless "P" status when considering slapping a vote onnit-Some of these folks who lurk and finally post may have bailed when their initial offering was ignored.

Oh and, if tenured users would pull their noses out of each others asses for a spell and would care to peruse the pqueued section of some of the folks who try and try to have their stuff published but find that their tastes are not to the liking of others, you may start to see a pattern.

I am nothing if not tenacious-as to the dedicated tenacity of most folks???...They are energetic enough to "ignore" something they don't like.....hoo-fucking-rah, way to stick to your lazy-ass principles.(Let someone who has something to say that is somewhat conservative??..."Oh, let's rip that buffoon a new one, how 20th century, how gouche!) The place needs more art and music and culture-let others express themselves and stroke a stranger's ego from time to time in the process-I come to the site lately and see the same 23 people thinking that they have something to say ALL THE TIME!!! (this is only evidenced by myself lately in marathon rants, perhaps because the discussions wax inane and the one-liners ya clever monkeys tend to come up with fall like bodies from high-rises!)

That's as stupendous a playlist as I've ever seen in my 27 earth orbits around this star we arbertrarilee call our 'sun'. I found myself exercising my FSM-given right (or is it left?) to vote many of those vidjuhs in a vertically elevative fashion. I tilt my headcover to the owner of said playlist, and humbly offer respect so deep that it pops up in China, scaring the bejesus (bebhudda?) out of rice-fueled commie-slanty pupiled chinese young'ens.

Members with P's have it just as bad/good as the rest of us. What you are essentially asking for here is preferential treatment, to add extra value to stuff that has been posted by a probationary member, I don't want to do that. It's a shame if people get scared off when their first video doesn't make it through, but those are the terms so far.

I think it's incredibly arrogant to try and guilt the rest of us into voting for videos that might not deserve it (while some of them do, granted).

Stuff that's really good usually make it out of the queue, stuff that's average depend on proper timing or quality or something similar to make sure it goes through, stuff that the poster himself likes for whatever obscure reason usually languishes in the PQ - it happens to all of us. Where's the "sift diamonds in need" playlist? P's can shape up and power through - we have enough new posters to show it can be done with a little tenacity. If people quit at the first obstacle, then this place is probably not for them.

Every web site has it's regulars. I'm still relatively new in terms of a regular and I know for the first 3 months or so, everyone was just as new to me as anyone else. That is to say, no one was "pegged" as 'oh, it's that guy.' for quite a while (except for Gwizz who I labeled the melodramatic guy about 2 days in).

There was nothing threatening about the site. My first video sat in my PQ for months till someone, I think Jigga posted a siftalk titled, "Videos that deserve a second chance" or something to that nature and I managed to sift my first video. I do think videos have stronger chances if they're sifted by certain celeb's around here. I could be wrong.. but honestly I have no idea why my grandma in a wheelchair with a machine gun vid just didn't take off.


....seriously.

But anyways, if we give any of the newcomers special treatment... you know what would happen? I bet we'd loose them again right after the special treatment period wore off. Like if there was a channel dedicated to people who are posting within 1 month of registering, soon as that one month wore off we'd just loose just as many at that point.

Videosifting comes from the soul, not the ego. ..actually, I might have that reversed...
