Sorry for the Outage
Depending on where you live, VideoSift may have been very slow, quirky or completely unavailable for around 8 hours. We had a problem with the company that hosts our domain name (Yahoo). They decided to turn off our domain and then the settings didn't come all the way back.
It should be OK now, and I've put away the ulcer medication. Here's our traffic chart from Yesterday- you can see the effects pretty clearly I think.

Please direct all requests for credits or reparations to Siftbot. He'll sort you out.
I was upset but you assuaged my anger with a pretty graph. I am calm now.
I'm sure Karl Rove must have had a hand in this, being so close to the election and all.
8 hours? Try over 12 hours for me. Of course I live in Wyoming, and we're pretty low on the CFR Internet Overlords' priorities list.
After desperately refreshing, I went to downforeveryoneorjustme.com and it said videosift didn't even exist! I immediately hired a bounty hunter.
It seems that was unnecessary.
I live in Alaska, the outage was 47 hrs in this time zone!
