As far as I can tell, this is between me and Deathcow. You guys act as though I am making too big of a deal of this by creating a blog about it, but what does that say about you guys who care enough to respond with a comment on the blog? Hypocritical?

Maybe we are just attracted to the smell of your dirty laundry. Seriously though, it obviously bothers you quite a bit that someone would have the nerve to downvote 9 of your submissions in a week, but to reiterate what has already been said: a.) calling someone out on the blog over a molehill is not cool, b.) dc already responded, c.) the earth will continue to orbit the sun, in spite of it all.

Move on.

Anliz, the issue is that you combed through someone else's voting record - while the system is obviously designed to let you do that, it's considered Bad Taste to call someone out on it, and that's why people piled in on the discussion.

(Aside: being able to comb through other people's votes is, IMHO, to help you find other cool vids or see what might appeal to another person.)

I've had streaks where I had a downvotes from some people, I've had streaks where I couldn't post a succesful vid for days at a time - and I've had streaks where I got multiple vids in the top 15.

It is fair to acknowledge, however, that dc *did* provide you with an answer. Snake made a flippant but funny interpretation of it, but that is where it rests.

In the end, while I don't like to see laundry aired out in public, you are correct that we don't have private messaging.

Plus, this is also a Good Conversation, since it'll steer Sifters in the future towards a documented explanation of one aspect of sifting etiquette.
