I stopped watching TV when I started university; with the notable exception of Simpsons and most of the Sunday-night line-up.

Will I keep watching Grey's Anatomy on Thursdays? Hmm....

I like the selective viewing experienced offered by the internet.

I used to love watching discovery channel, but now it's all fix that and this, and bust this myth and that, and make that bike and that car and pimp it out. It's so foolish. Now at least I can make my own programming and watch all the documentaries on nature, science and quantum physics that I could possibly want.

Yup. People look at me like I'm nuts, when I tell them I don't have cable or even an antenna. And the only shows I watch are TDS and CR, predictably. And then I bittorent them. So zero tv.

A few years ago I received an invitation to become part of the Nielsen households. The questionnaire they sent did not even have this as an option. I had to write my answers by hand, there was no checkbox for "I don't watch tv" or even "Zero to 5 hours" or something inclusive like that.

I watch more tv now than I have in many years, but none of it is through the primary tv channels (ie, cable, broadcast)

i never used to watch much tv anyways, but i watch less and less as more shows are available to me on my own time. i 'spend time with my wife' in front of the television, but i'm not really watching so much as just being in her company. now that abc is offering shows online (Lost), i don't have any reason to actively watch television at all. i can find anything i'm in the mood for now on the 'series of tubes.'
