Couple of simple suggestions!

1 - Stop the announcement on the top of the screen from scrolling down the entire page. Misclicks as a result are driving me insane!

2 - Introduce a no-vote option. Either that or find some way to grey out videos that you have already looked at so you don't click on them again.

3 - Add a way to pop up videos in their own windows. Handy for people who multitask or if you want to watch say a 30 min documentary and do something else while you're at it. Easier than having to resize it into a corner meticulously.

4 - Add a drop down menu with check boxes/OK button so you can quickly fix a video's tags on each video page. I know people like being creative with the * classifications but no reason not to have the best of both worlds.

5 - Having an in between grey version of sift would be cool. Bright white/black make my eyes bleed.

2. Isn't the no-vote option simply not to vote? On the unsifted page you can use the unsifted video listing order to filter out videos.

3. Agreed, though as I rock two screens it's not really a problem. Solution: upgrade!

THIS.

I'm about to look for a way to just block that part of the page script so it never happens again.

*edit* HAHA I DID IT!

Got the Element Hiding Helper add-on and just followed the simple instructions to block that pesky script that has been bothering me for MONTHS.

Thank you google/mozilla!

Just so you can see what you've already watched. Not sure you mean with unsifted vids ...

Or you can extend the lifetime of the individual cookie beyond 24 hrs. That way you won't miss any announcement made using that bar (which is what it was meant for originally) but won't be bothered about buying one of them rags every single day.

As far as item #1, I believe you can disable the Announcement bar simply by going into your Account Preferences, then selecting Filters, then checking the box "Disable animations on the page." I did that, and now I no longer see the Announcement bar at all. Score.

Nope that's not how it works, you wouldn't have seen the bar til tomorrow in any case.

I prefer it my way. I clear all cookies(long and short-term) and history as soon as I close my browser anyway, only keep passwords to sites I visit frequently. Not to mention with all these add-ons and extensions I am able to fine-tune each website to exactly how I want it to look.
