As for confirming the IP, I'd love to if I knew where to find it.

You have to open up a shell window (XP: click Start then Run and type CMD & hit return, *NIX/OSX: open Bash / Applications:Utilities:Terminal) and type ping www.videosift.com. This resolves the web address to an IP address and sends it a few ping packets (I get no response, so somethings wrong with my ISP).

Hmmm...weird. My ISP must be blocking access to the VideoSift then. Nice One BT Yahoo! Will have to start harassing them over it - thanks DeputyDog!

Wow - that sucks. Let us know if it it's still a problem, we can harrass our provider to do probably nothing.

If it is just DNS issues, ie. videosift.com being banned from nameservers, you can just edit your windowssystem32driversetchosts file and manullay put in VS ip addy. It could be all the sub domain names not being happy, like dag.videosift.com

Unfortunately, it's packets being blocked by my ISP which is at fault (as my DNS returns the correct IP address). I cannot directly connect to VideoSift, I'm having to type this through a web-proxy (which fecks-up the embeded media...so no videos for me!)

EDIT: It's just the VideoSift (including the Polish/Latina ones) that don't work...BT Yahoo says that it isn't blocking the Sift, but there's no other explanation (can't ping or successfully trace route any of the Sifts IP addresses!)

It is possible VS server is blackhole-ing traffic to your IP block.

How very weird that videosift is the only sites blocked. videosift.pl and videosiftlatina.com are on same server, but different than videosift (maybe same hosting provider).. Are there any other sites you can get to like revver or something.
