I love the Sift, and this certainly isn't a goodbye note like the others that were croc-tearfully left by others.
That being said, I'm fed up with this place.
All I want to do is watch videos. I don't want to listen to whining from certain people who mention banishment in the same sentence they start with a homophobic slur, intention notwithstanding.
This isn't an outright condemnation of any one person, because it really is just a virtual world here. Yeah, we're all people and all that jazz, but unlike real life we can hit the ignore button and go on watching videos of dogs farting in water.
What I'd like to say, though, is if you're looking for perfection, don't look at this site. Hell, don't even look on the internet. Just close your browser and pick up a book by Bertrand Russell or Mark Twain. Enrich your mind, if you are so inclined. But don't bitch and moan about intricate details on a website, and don't lose sight of the original purpose of the Sift while getting lost in between the guidelines.
Rules are just arbitrary notes on how to conduct your business in a social construct. We are not a group of lawyers, perpetually scrutinizing the Sift with a fine-toothed comb. We're just representations of an idea: the idea that nobody should need to read a YouTube comment ever again.
On that note, I'd like to thank Dag, Lucky, and anyone else that's been working tirelessly to support this place since its inception. I like it here, even with the ridiculous and the absurd, the choggies and the CP420s.
So lighten up everybody, and go talk to kulpims about some fine-ass weed. I'm sure we could all use a fucking chill-out.

No-one makes anyone read sift talk posts, can't really see what you're getting at here, other than to condemn people - myself included obviously - for giving a shit about one person relentlessly being a dick. That's hardly taking everything too seriously is it now.
Who is asking for perfection? Everyone is entitled to their opinions and to move about this place as they see fit on an individual basis. To be told what and how we should be acting is somewhat annoying.

The nice thing about Sift Talk, is that it sifts out most of the drama from the main site. If you like drama - this is the place to hang. (confession, I like a bit of drama)
