I think this is an awesome channel, and I know I'm gonna waste many, many hours laughing at it.

I would say the best definition of the channel, would be "trying and failing, often hilariously" whereas eia has the dual meaning of just plain "I can now no longer reproduce for X reason" or "people acting SO stupid, that they have an adverse effect on the human species".

Schadenfreude is now well represented on VS!:)

I think now it's most important to remember to differentiate between Fail and Terrible - the former is, of course, clear to most modern users of Series Of Tubes, however the latter encompasses, I suppose, bad things which were, as sometimes himself puts it, "green-lit" by somebody and to which one can attribute "what were they thinking?".

That is to say, both aren't mutually exclusive; but then again, a Terrible does not always a Fail make, and vice versa.

I'm going to be the dissenting voice of opinion - I think the differences between Fail and EIA are paper thin.

At best I find it to be more of a subsection of EIA - Like Grindhouse is just a subsection of Cinema or what Islam is to the Religion channel.

^ I'm inclined to agree. I'm always happy to see a new channel pop up, but what should the differences be between the two as guidelines for sifters who might be considering videos to embed? It will be good to clarify, at least so the two channels aren't really mirrors of each other.

^Yeah, I tend to agree with dag here, Eia and Fail are even further apart than Terrible and Fail. What, do all of you really think a failure always means there's physical harm involved? And furthermore, that it's always self-inflicted??

Here's just one non-Eia example of Fail.

Sure, there are things that are Fail without being EIA, but still, I think if you would sort out the videos into a venn diagram, the overlap would be so great it would look something like this.

But hey, whatever - It's just another channel. I, for one, never really browse through channels.
