Oh, I got that much!

So I guess it just gets down to taste, per usual.

You say pota-toe. I say potaw-toe.

No harm, no foul.

So at what point was that funny?

Wow, really? Nothing?

Comedy is a funny thing isn't it (ha ha... pun very much intended)?

For instance. Andrew Dice Clay. I have never, ever, EVER seen a single thing he's done that would even slightly move me to laughter, and yet he sold out stadium shows. I SO don't get how he is funny. And yet people do (or at least did).

But people do find it funny.

Same with this, I found it to be quite hilarious, and yet you can't see the humour in it.

Strange.

This has been suggested before, and although it's a good idea in theory, in practice it makes the search return undesirable results for most searchers.

This is because instead of the search finding posts very closely (or identically) matching all of your search terms, you'll be finding posts that very loosely match because they were submitted more recently.

In short, the search assumes you want to find what you're looking for, rather than the newest posts that are similar to what you're looking for.

How right you are... thankyou sir.

(Might pay to put that option on the results page of a normal sort as well.)

In reply to this comment by lucky760:
There is a sort option on the advanced search form.

Cheers!

Hey, don't know if you've thought of this before... but could there be sort options on the results of a search?

I'm assuming it's currently sorted by relevance, but I almost always would like to sort it by date, newest first.
