I wonder what's meant by 'community pool'. Is it a municipal pool anyone may use, or a gated community pool only members may use? If it's the former, why did they even respond to complaint of 'people who don't live here are in the pool'?
What a douche, I hope he gets more than a vacation for this. He certainly isn't making friends for the cops. Would he think it was appropriate for someone to use that language to his pre teen child? I bet not, but he has no problem using it towards black kids....and only black kids.

I cant tell what's going on here at all. I'll read the article in a bit, but the title of the video doesn't seem to reflect what's going on. I was expecting a texas cop to break up a group of people (i.e. kids from a pool party or something) who were ganging up on some black kids.

It does not say that white or blacks were fighting. Since the cop was gathering up black kids it appears that they were the uninvited guests and some broke out in fighting. The video or text does not say just that juveniles were now actively fighting. More info is needed.

The cops have to gain control of the situation, then go about finding out what occurred and who did what.


The girl was as the wrong place at the wrong time. The cop was in no mood to play around.

Now, the pool was in a upper crust luxury community and to celebrate the end of the school year, quite a few non-whites obtained passes to the pool. It was not until a bunch of the adult white residents of the community started calling in reports of fights and trespassing (people without passes).

These same nice white folk made the visitors feel wanted by throwing out racist comments "Several adults told the black teens to go back to their “Section 8 [public] housing” developments."

Now, the white kid who took the video, and who was not thrown to the ground by the police (he said they basically ignored him), said that most of the kids had passes and that the problems began before the few people who did not have passes showed up.

So the story is pretty much that a bunch of upper class white folks didn't like the 'darkies' getting uppity and brought the cops in. Everyone except the guy in the blue hat was released after being 'put in their place' by the cops for a while. Blue hat guy went to jail on charges of interference and evading arrest.

On Sunday afternoon, a sign left at the pool thanked McKinney police “for keeping us safe.” Because, as we all know, ethnic teens are the root of all evil and could hurt us white folks!

I doubt the cop loses his job, but he fucking should. Pulling a gun on unarmed teens is ludicrous. Putting your full weight on the back of a teen girl half your size and resting there for minutes is uncalled for. The jackass was PISSED that he tripped while chasing kids and felt he needed to get his own back.

As far as the community, they don't mind taking money from rich black folks to build a sports center, but don't let those uppity blacks think they can hang out there.

I think the fighting that was reported started when Grace Stone, a 14 year old white girl, and her friends objected to the racist comments one of the adult woman were making towards the kids. She said the woman became violent at that point.

Did the cop need to control the situation - yes.
Did the cop over react- yes - But how would he reacted? Every one scattering and running , not obeying, Cop being over heated with 30 lbs of gear, wearing black clothing making him even hotter.

So, black teens are invited to a pool, and given passes allowing them to be there according to the pool rules.

White woman verbally attacks them for being there and black, then gets violent and attacks them when her racist comments are objected to.

Black kids are attacked by insane aggressive racist officer based on his mistaken assumptions, and are beaten, threatened with death, harassed, have inappropriate curses screamed in their face, and all detained over nothing. The white female instigator/aggressor is not even contacted, apparently neither is the white girl that called them to report that white adults were attacking black children, and none of the white children are even noticed by the police.

Only the "white side of town" has a public 'community pool' and only people who look right may be there without harassment, any non whites must have a 'pass' to be allowed to be there.

Sounds about right for Texas.

Well, it appears to me that there has to be a better way of handling things than that two-striper decided.

I do know that people complain when outsiders crash their 'territory'.

I thought most of the black kids did do as they were told, which was to sit on the ground. Some of the black girls got mouthy or something which led to physical force.

Too many people now are being taught to disobey the cops, so the verbal escalates to the physical and everyone loses. White people do it too..."I know my constitutional rights!" etc etc etc

Officer Friendly has now quit before he could be fired.
His superiors are now publicly saying he was completely out of control the entire time, from the beginning of the recording to the end. What they don't mention is the other cops that watched and allowed him to be so completely out of control and violent with out ever saying a word to stop him, or raising a finger. I want every cop there to have a reprimand on their permanent record for not stopping the out of control asshole.

I think more people need to be taught to ignore cops when they "ask" you to do something, but not when they give a legal command.
The problem is they know what they can and can't command you to do, and how to frame their 'commands' as questions, like "I'm going to handcuff you and put you in my car for your and my safety....OK?" That's a question, not a command, the answer is "NO, I want my lawyer" and/or "I do not waive ANY of my rights for your convenience or safety". (really, I always want to reply "OK, but first I'm going to take and hold your gun and handcuff/car keys for my and your safety, OK?") Most cops would completely lose their shit at that, and call it 'disobeying a command', but conversely, in court they would say it was a 'request' not a command, because they know they had no right to command a person to submit to confinement with out a charge being made/crime being investigated. They can't hold you while they try to decide IF a crime even happened, only if they have reason to believe YOU committed/are committing a crime.
If the sentence starts with "can you", "will you", "may I", "can I", or ends with "OK?", "alright?", or just the inflection indicating "?", it's a request or question, not a command, no matter how commandingly they say it, and should not be confused with a command (like they hope you will) but instead should be completely ignored.
That is the disingenuous/dishonest manner is which they typically operate, and why you should never say a word to them. It never helps and can only hurt you in the end. They aren't trying to be your friend or just friendly, they're trying to find/make up something to charge you with.

I just saw shots of the pool area on TV. There's a huge field attached to the pool area, where they had set up a bouncy house, DJ, and full catering for this party. There were fliers put up in the neighborhood long beforehand, and notices posted on Facebook and elsewhere. No one complained at all until the participants showed up with too much melanin. No one got violent until the white adult's racist comments were objected to, then the racist white women became violent against children...but they were not questioned or detained about it, only the victims were detained.

I have yet to see/hear how many party goers did/didn't have passes. The girl who set up the party gave out at least 20, and it seemed the party was for more than one resident of the area (each resident could bring 20 guests according to the pool rules). It's been reported that even the guests with passes were not allowed into the pool area, and after that some of them climbed the fence...It's been implied that those climbing the fence did not have passes, and also reported that nearly everyone had a pass. I want to know how many didn't have passes, and how many white children were asked to present theirs. I didn't see a single white person asked about it, detained, threatened, or even noticed.
