Seriously, I would pay a ridiculous amount of money just to watch it on the big screen.

I have heard some distressing news about Season 2. They are emulating Star Trek in a sense, where famous old series characters would make appearances in modern series to tie it all together. That always bugged the hell out of me when Spock would appear on Picards ship for example, or Riker appeared on Voyager.

Anyway, they are cashing in on the Lord Of The Rings and several of Peter Dinklage hobbit cousins from the shire will be visiting this season. And get this... Elijah Woods is confirmed. He will be "passing through the kingdom on a secret mission to destroy a powerful weapon" but wait, Sean Bean AGAIN tries to seize it.

Wikipedia:
"Goose bumps are tiny bumps on the surface of skin caused by involuntary contraction of muscles at the base of each hair."

Two questions
1) we have muscles at the base of each hair
2) ...

If you think it is difficult waiting for the new season, try waiting for the next F'ING BOOK!!!!
RR MARTIN is a massive a-hole.

Actually I hear he is quite nice and amiable. But F him for the damage he's done to my psyche with his books and the interminable wait between them.

Last two books in the series were really a lot of do nothing events considering the sheer size of those books.

If his next doesn't advance the story beyond a snails pace...I'll be very disappointed. The previous books were so good, and it's hard to see an author just meander through books with no real "shock" to the story told in a single book.

Looking at the wheel of time, that series got beaten to death there for awhile and then the author died.

I agree with the previous two comments. I read the first 3 books as they came out and each one was as good as or better than the next. Then... I waited for the 4th book, and I waited, and he promised, and I waited, and he promised. Then FIVE YEARS LATER the book was released. I read the first 3 again just to bring myself up to date and then dove into the Feast for Crows. It was, sadly, not worth a 5 year wait but with it's release came the promise in the epiloge that this was only half of the story that he had written, that the other half would be released in a like sized book to be release within a year...

Cut to SIX YEARS LATER!!!!

Massive a-hole indeed.

A-hole or not I am still addicted to the written series and will buy both hardcover and kindle versions of the books that follow.

PS: YAY HBO! You ROCK!

Where's my Brienne? I cant wait to see her this season. One of my fav characters. I know they cast a model for the roll, but makeup can do wonderful things to bring out the ugly.
