well, her trumpet is pretty consistent in how it misses the notes, so i'm also going for the "playback tape at wrong speed" theory.

ouch. being a trumpet player, i can tell you how f-ing bad that was. either she or the person playing the music didn't realize that they were in different keys and that totally ruined it. but she wasn't that good of a player anyway.
