Two Kids Unwrap The Best Present Ever!

YT: "Here is a video of me surprising our kids after my husband came back from his deployment. Things seemed to keep going wrong... It was supposed to be at a restaurant, but he came back a day later then planned. Then, he was supposed to be closed in the box, but he was too big! Then, not enough wrapping paper, even though there was 3 rolls... But it all worked out in the end thanks to some awesome friends!!! Enjoy... (They sure did!)"

the SNIPER ON THE ROOFTOPS! "AAAHH NOOO! daadddyyyy."

[at age three, I used to sit by the back door waiting for my father to return from work.. at 11pm (that's like 3 am, baby time)]

I think the surprise is ruined in the first two seconds, as you see legs under the box.

I'm guessing that a little knowledge of the back story (military dad, home from deployment a little early) would make this even sweeter. I know for me the best part was the sound that little girl made when she first realized it was her dad.

Yeah .. you're right. I added tags, description etc.

That little girl's tearful reaction is about the same reaction I had the year my brother and I got a SNES for Christmas.

Okay, I wasn't actually crying, but seriously... best present ever. Good times.

I didn't mean to offend anyone with this comment and I apologize if anyone has taken offense to it. It was not my intention to imply ingratitude for the sacrifice that many soldiers and their families make on behalf of American freedom and security.

I was simply intending to make a rather sardonic remark about why this family would choose to surprise their kids in this manner. The video seems to suggest that this ploy is clearly more for the parents than it is for the children -- who don't understand the box, the bbq joke, or anything except for the fact that their dad has returned.

Daddy's coming home in a box either way.

What I find funny is your use of the word "merkin" as slang for American.

From Wiki: A merkin (first use 1617)[1] is a pubic wig. Merkins were originally worn by prostitutes after shaving their genitalia, and are nowadays used as decorative items or in film making.

I thought that was darkly comic, certainly appeals to my English sense of humour. I imagine many merkins might not take it especially well...

next video up... cute kittens!....again!!

Seriously videosift, this is your most predictable video yet. I didnt even need to click it from the top15 list before knowing exactly what it was, yes you are that predicable and boring.

^ouch, but sadly often true.

Someone needs their ass schooled in what the troop deployment to death ratio is. Even if you wanted to fudge numbers and list every single death over there as american (accept of course for the 10 million insurgents weve killed), it is a very very small number compared to the total number of troops we have sent over.

Even one death out of a million in such a meaningless war is one too many.
