Trillion-Dollar Jet Wasting Your Taxes -- TYT

YouTube Description:

Via Wired: "The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, the supposed backbone of the Pentagon's future air arsenal, could need additional years of work and billions of dollars in unplanned fixes, the Air Force and the Government Accountability Office revealed on Tuesday. Congressional testimony by Air Force and Navy leaders, plus a new report by the GAO, heaped bad news on a program that was already almost a decade late, hundreds of billions of dollars over its original budget and vexed by mismanagement, safety woes and rigged test results. At an estimated $1 trillion to develop, purchase and support through 2050, the Lockheed Martin-built F-35 was already the most expensive conventional weapons program ever even before Tuesday's bulletins...". The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur shares the kicker, which is that 12 other countries are looking to buy the plane after it's completed even though US taxpayers are footing the R & D for the project.

This strikes me as a thing that just wouldn't exist if more women were in charge of things.

It's only exciting to male gadget arousal and the little subconscious boy inside that wants to go back to playing war with futuristic fantasy lasers and bombs and things that go VROOOOMMMM.

But then if women were in charge all that money would have been spent on bailing out the industrial complex of makers, buyers, and sellers of shoes and buildings full of doctors and nurses. Sounds like socialism!

I LOVE THIS PLANE! It is the very symbol of the highjacked United States. It's hard to ignore this poster boy for government/military reform.

So here it comes....

How many American Citizens could have had $50,000 college scholarships for the price of this single aircrafts program?

TWENTY MILLION PEOPLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One more...

Mitt Romney says PBS is going to need to show commercials to kids, because someone has to pay for Big Bird.

He's says he is not willing to borrow money from China to pay for kids watching Big Bird, when those kids can simply watch advertisements from all his favorite people (oops I mean, corporations.)

Question:
How many years of commercial free PBS could this Jet program pay for?

Answer:
4.65 millenia

Problem is we need these planes because we keep selling our old ones to future invasion countries. It's a great way to keep our economy going...I mean it would be if our economy wasn't set up specifically to need this sort of stuff.

BUT, the thing is we will never fight something harder than Saddam's forces period. Unless it's a nuclear or thermonuclear war. I'm sure you can agree that the F-35 doesn't mean jack-shit then...

That is also why @Payback is right--drones are great.
