This was so cool when I saw it in person at DCA that I had to give it several viewings. So trippy and fun. It is like one of those old-fashioned picture wheels, except it uses real 3-d objects instead of pictures. This video captures it well. Ooooh yeah!

My hat is off to the badass engineering that went into this as well.

not really that bad ass if you compare it to what goes into modern software.

besides this was probably made by Chinese slave children they have to knock out one of these every 40 minutes or they don't get to eat.

its a nice effect though don't think the video would really capture the essence of this its a shame they incased it in glass " mommy look its buzz light year im going to pick him up " , " no timmy noooooooooooooo" ( kids arm is torn and flung across room)

Seizures are brought on by a much slower pattern of flashing, I think it's one every two to three seconds or so.

The entirety of the "engineering" here is in creating a motorized platform. Only slightly more complicated than something you might see the "Cake Boss" create. Not engineering in any meaningful sense of the word. It is Animation however.

*animation (says the poor kid without privileges)

Westy commented out of character so I had to downvote.
