Kallesays...fatigue here aswell
ChaosEngineDwindling optimism that it recaptures the feeling that made the LOTR movies so much better than the first two Hobbit movies.
Apathy towards 3D and discontent at HFR.
newtboyAlso fatigue. I want less flash and frantic camera shots designed for 3D, and more good story acting. I have some hope, but I'm doubtful they'll deliver.
Is this going to be it, or are they going to do The Silmarillion (what there is of it)?

Engelssays...I personally think that the first two hobbit movies were more entertaining than the LoTR movies, simply because they were creative in their story telling rather than glued to the rather subpar writing of Tolkien.
FlowersInHisHairI can't even

spawnflaggerPeter Jackson sure knows how to make a long movie.
jmdsays...No fatigue here, it is not like I have rewatched the rings, nore have I re read the books in any way since the movies. While I am not excited about the hobbit as I was the ring, I enjoy them alot (even if jackson stretches creative licensing a bit far with the river romp in the last movie) and this one looks to be just as good.
criticalthudsays...i feel kinda like i did before Revenge of the Sith came out.
(the formerly creative director, having cashed in, will try to redeem the preceding duds and his declining reputation with an over-the-top finale that will try to do too much, ultimately failing to deliver anything but a mediocre wrap-up).
ChaosEngineYeah, that whole pointless bit with the dwaves in laketown and the even more pointless fight with Smaug really didn't drag the second movie at all....

Retroboysays...Most.

newtboySo you're saying probably next Xmas?
Most.

Movie.

Retroboysays...Yup. And to make the nightmare complete, it'll be directed by Michael Bay and star Adam Sandler, Jaden Smith, Justin Bieber, and Sarah Jessica Parker as the horse.
So you're saying probably next Xmas?
Engelssays...I thought the whole point of the Hobbit was to integrate many parts of Tolkien's works into the main framework of the Hobbit. Honestly, even tho it dragged a bit here and there, I am loving these movies way more than LoTR, book or movie. The Hobbit is a good, relatively well written book. The LoTR is a dungeon master that's narcissistically held you captive in his basement while he shows you all his figurines.
