I'm testing the "boob hypothesis": just mentioning boobs in a title will rocket the sift into the top 15.

Well ill toss my 2cents. Kids should learn about the negatives of the USA as well as the good. Whats that old saying, "people are bound to repeat history if they don't learn from it"?

One thing's for sure - America sure is the exception to the rule.

Just weeks before this mess started we had to fight them on evolution in schools as well, it's been one stupid fight after another with these people for years now. It never ends.

AronRa did a video about 6 months ago on these freaks, and from personal experience I'd say he was both charitable and kind to them.

Now that I've actually seen the video, I gotta say - I think she suffers from Mad Cow disease with a side of Unwavering Nationalism. This is not a good combination and could be detrimental to the minds of those around her.

How about teaching children that "positive" and "negative" are subjective terms and meaningless in the study of history...just a thought.

This is how you create Propaganda, Not teach history. History is History! It is what it was and always shall be.

Is this woman given the power to encourage these types of decisions? I think she just proved she is incompetent for the job. This is wrong on so many levels, I honestly can't believe this isn't part of some bigger agenda to bury history so the population can become more inept and controllable.

This is Texas, and the school system there IS at war with the fundamentalists!

Most textbooks today already ARE whitewashed versions of actual history. Historical figures are presented and mythical hero's who either surpassed incredible odds at great peril, or were practical saints. Here's just a couple bits you will almost certainly never learn in a high school classroom.

a) Helen Keller - Blind and Deaf, everyone has probably seen the scene where she learns finally how to sign under the water from a pump. What you don't know was that after graduating from college she joined the Socialist Party and hailed the coming of Socialism. (She had good reasons for this, look her up if your interested)

b) Woodrow Wilson - Despite receiving a large black vote into office, the man created many policies that were as he was in fact, extremely racist. This cause at least in part, the large resurgence of white supremacist racism during the late part of his term and afterwards.

I could go on about the atrocities that Columbus committed as well. The plain fact is that US History as taught in high school today centers EVERYTHING on Europe having "accomplished" everything first. And this crazy overprotective moron wants to whitewash it even further.
