Staff Tackles and Chokes Deaf Shopper suspected of Stealing

youtube description- This is what I know, The two guys who are deaf were in the Clothing store XXI and apparently they were shopping, Staff must have seen them do something to suspect them of stealing, but that doesn't have any support or facts. Before I started filming. The Big Black dude in Jeans who mighta been a store detective jumps and tackles the large hispanic deaf guy. from there I remembered my new phone and turned on the camera,

There was a man who looked to be the manager of XXI that said to turn off the camera because they didn't want to get exposed for harassing and dealing with a situation that turned sour.

From there, you get to see the turn of events and then in the aftermath, the sorting out of exactly what happen. From what I saw that you guys can't, the deaf guy in the white shirt was apparently assuring the store with receipts for what he was carrying.

If you guy are better than I at figuring this out or have the facts then PM me and I'll post it in the Description here below. Also if this was a whole misunderstanding, then those deaf people have a case and someone needs to help them. And if you are the ones who were in this situation, then contact a lawyer and have them look at this video. It's proof positive that the Black guy did not know how to restrain you, More over, he was nearly choking you to death by the purplish color you had on your face.

Here is some info about the store. I have no info about any of the people involved, so good luck.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that almost all companies have a: If-you-think-a-customer-is-shoplifting-do-NOT-pin-them-to-the-ground-and-choke-them policy. This guy's just an asshole, and if he made it past the company's screening, so be it. He should still be prosecuted and sued himself though.

It is unacceptable for non law enforcement to exercise force against any accused thief.

The force used by the untrained loss preventions guy is disproportionate to the force being used by the deaf perpetrator. The loss prevention guy should be charged with assault, and battery summarily terminated.

The only time security personnel should do anything is to stop an assault, rape, or murder. Petty theft and shoplifting isn't worth the risk.

Err, what?
If your job description is "Pilot" is it too much to expect some training in how to fly a plane?

Rottenseed is trollin'.

Loss prevention and Security Officers are trained specifically to avoid these situations simply because it would cost the client more to deal with this, then to recover the lost profit from the stolen goods. If there we're any stolen goods in the first place.

@Jinx Wow that's so the same. Because this was a normal scenario that happens every day. You know what does happen every day? People walking out of stores with stolen shit. Happens EVERY SINGLE MUNDANE day. And these people are used to it. Were they excessive after it was quite obvious he was deaf? Yea. Unreasonable excessive force after the fact. But how do you tell a squirming, confused deaf guy that's fighting for his life to please get up and come with you to your office to sort things out? Do YOU have any ideas that are practical and can be used in the heat of the battle? No, you're at your computer with Cheeto fingers.

I feed trolls. Though to be honest Rottenseed is one of the better trolls. In fact I really want to argue with him/her but I'd rather not but I can't help myself.

As a former security officer I can tell you. Do not, ever, physically accost any person who you perceive to have committed a petty crime. I shouldn't have to post links to why, or proofs it is generally accepted.

Rottenseed you are patently wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if a lawyer takes up a case and sues the shit out of that store.

Daym, you got me on one count at least. Yes, I admit to being at the Computer, of that I think we share somnething in common. As for Cheeto fingers, sadly they are not sold here, although I could probably find the equivalent brand here if it would make your argument anymore valid.

Its not about knowing how to deal with a deaf person, its about knowing what not to do, and I think pretty high on that list is putting them in a chokehold.

This is why I want the right to carry a gun with me in public. I'd have shot some motherfuckers that day.

This is not legal advice and I am not a lawyer.

Depending on what state you live in, you have the right to carry a weapon openly.

http://www.opencarry.org/

I wouldn't advise carrying a weapon openly, but if you do make sure you know your states laws to a T. It's not a practiced right in states like Virginia but it is your legal right to carry. But, cops will stop you and attempt to get you to incriminate yourself.

Carry pepper spray instead it's generally safer and won't get you thrown in jail for murder or manslaughter.

This is not legal advice and I am not a lawyer.
