westysays...SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING THAT BIRD DOSE NOT HAVE A PARA SHOOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gamblesays...Come on, I know SOMEONE wants to ask why the bird falls at the same speed. You're out there, I can feel it.
Paybacksays...^ Actually, I was kinda wondering that. One would have thought the terminal velocity of the Falcon folded would be higher than a skydiver spread eagle, but I guess the mass disparity makes up for the surface area difference.
Paybacksays......oh, and shouldn't this be * timeshift ?
Hybridsays...I personally don't find the *music that bad for this.
siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (Music) - requested by Hybrid.
demon_ixsays...One of the most beautiful things I've seen on the sift.

This is crazy! That bird is made of FEATHERS Shouldn't it be falling very slowly?!?!
Also listen to the voice over at the end, it's like a Scientologist recruiting video.
sirexsays...oh come on ! that bird *needs* colored smoke on it.
... and while you're at it, train it up to hold diver formations. Then you'd be cookin' on gas.
opportunity missed !

I'm not sure it is, since you linked to paragliding and hawks and that's not what this is about.
Regardless, I'm curious whether they had the bird follow the plane during the entire climb (tiring), or whether they threw the bird out of a moving aircraft (potentially terrifying).
Also, let's continue this trend with other animals. I nominate Octopuses.
alizarinsays...I was wishing he fed the hawk a live mouse then I realized I'm a bad person.

I know, the narration was almost as fascinating as the video itself. "I am a beautiful, wonderful bird and I feel a great spirit-kindship-friendliness for his humanness!"
GeeSussFreeKsays...When he catches the bait box and peals off, I was surprised his bones could handle it. Hollow bones ftw?
gtjwkqsays...Bird's thoughts the whole time:
Stop falling you idiot!
dystopianfuturetodaysays...I hear the Peregrine Falcon can do the Kessel run in 12 parsecs.
xxovercastxxsays...Fastest animal in the world.
cybrbeastsays...I really like the bit at 2:25 where you see it in real time for a few seconds and see how fast the hawk really is. He is and can fall much faster than the human, only it's slowed down so much that it's hard to see.
