I love the fact that they post the headshot of the guy along with thier preferred female form, just to really humiliate them on nationl tv. Brilliant.

I think it's hilarious that they try to pass this off as "science." It's not science -- it's video games for boys.

And the men's photos look like prison headshots.

so they did all this research to discover that men are really attracted to women who look like Barbie? money well spent guys...

Uh, just a sec, he points out the large difference between the choices of different subjects, and then averages all the selections to find the "optimum"? No, what you found by averaging is called "the average". Averages often mean nothing at all folks. I suppose it couldn't be that each man's optimum woman is different, you know, like the interviews showed? Not very sciency to me... it's crap research like this that makes the blow-stuff-up sciences ridicule the "social sciences".

Oh, this is terrible science.

The computer image is not particularly good, so the applying of what men really like to that gets skewed because it isn't a good representation.

Instead they should have gathered a huge host of images of women and got them to rank them. The number of images should have been very high, and the differences should have been such that they could cross analyze the impact of various portions of a woman (breast size, waist, face, hair colour, legs etc. etc.)

And then, to be very accurate, they should have done it completely anonymously. People will not give an accurate report of what they like if they are identified, they're going to swing more in the direction of what they thing they are SUPPOSED to like. Especially if they have a wife or girlfriend, they'll just try to pick something as close as possible to them to avoid issues at home.

Shite study, shite technique, shite conclusions. It's dicks like this that give science a bad name.

It is Junk Science - and what about manerisms, I'd say manerisms play a huge part on what attreacts a man to a woman.

I had this thought as well. When the take away is "guys like curvy women" this entire video seems like it could be a study of the water that concludes that it's wet. I don't like the method at all - it might be more informative to gather the entire "attractive" range of these features rather than to just have them figure out what they think is "perfect." At least then you aren't left to wonder how close you'd have to get to perfect to be attractive, and you wouldn't have the conclusion being "men who create the perfect figure create a curvy figure."

If this study is done without a counterpart on the male body, it's loses its credibility. Most of us probably don't care but some probably do.

I don't think people are going to gok wan's tv show for their reliable science facts updates. It's good enough for what gok wan wants it for, because he's only going to use it as a tool to make the fat women on his show feel better about being fat. If anything, it is preferrable if the tools are skewed to make the men choose a pear shape with a huge flabby arse, because persons of that description appear on his show exclusively.

I'm all in favour of taking it off the air completely, instead of just improving the science. In context of the show though, i think you'd know it wasn't meant to be very sciency, because this is the first 3 minutes i've seen of gok wan where he wasn't either making high pitched noises and gushing over an ugly woman, or reminding me about what we saw in the previous episode/part, whilst looking ahead to what was about to come in the next part/episode. The latter takes up about 70% of the show anyway.

Also, i'd say that personality is the "decider" for me. Without that, i'm just not interested beyond the timespan of a week. I guess that doesn't get us any closer to the perfect female body though. But is it ever really just the body anyone goes for, and is the test worthwhile to begin with - perhaps we have body ranges we find ideal instead?

What next? Average out hair colour/style to find the ideal? Sounds legit.

I mean, all this clip seems to prove is that guys have fairly diverse taste. Then there is that girl you dont find physically attractive at all until you fall completely for everything else about her and then suddenly short girls with red hair is the hottest thing you can imagine. I hope I'm not in the minority when I say that the most attractive physique is the one on the girl you are inexplicably crushing on supes hard for reasons you can't exactly pinpoint.

As for what guys lust over for quick sexual gratification? The internet has plenty of porn you might find quite eye opening....
