The games looks really sweet and all, but those menus make you want to kill someone. I'm certain that Osama bin Laden uses this game to get terrorists riled up and angry. It would make me want to blow up stuff.

No, no, trust me... Alt+F4 works. I learned that after the first (and last) time I had to hit exit 367 times.

add "admitting you have a problem" and I'd say it's a sound process for overcoming this disorder.

Eventually you will regret using ALT+F4 when your profiles and save games don't load because you corrupted them by killing the game task instead of allowing it to shut down properly.

Except, alt+f4 sends a signal to the app to close. It isn't killing the game task. For the game to quit when you press alt+f4 it needs to catch the signal and exit out on its own. In doing so, it can save your profile etc. Whether it actually does so, who knows. It is however unlikely it will quit in the middle of writing your profile though. I wouldn't worry about it corrupting anything.

I imagine Alt+F4 doesn't cause the game any harm. On both PS3 and X-Box 360 games have to accept that they can be terminated at any time if the player decides to return to the "home" screen. For reference, here is the proper way to quit Assassin's Creed on a PS3:

1. Hold down PS button for two seconds, which brings up the operating system's game menu.
2. Select Quit Game.

I don't know, I kind of liked Half-Life 2's menus... the load times got kind of annoying sometimes, but they were pretty stylish.

Just for reference, i corrupted my save game files in PC-GTA3+ through over-using Alt+F4..Several times.

I still do it, but it happens.

I seriously think theres a conspiracy to kill PC gaming altogether. It's like they purposely designed this game to make you wish you had got the console version instead. I mean, don't tell me none of the game testers or programmers never exited the game while they were playing it.

The kb/mouse controls are pretty horrible for this game too. You almost have to get a 360 controller for it. And the system requirements are pretty hefty for a console port.
